this country has showed alot of support to amir khan. just because a minority are being racist khan does a runner to america which fuels more fire to the amir khan haters. i for one like amir as a fighter but sometimes he talks out of his arse a bit. but hey nobody is perfect. i always pay for his ppv fights.. 90% of them havn't been worth ppv status like but i still buy thembecause the kid is a great talent. i thought he would duck maidana but he has showed he has courage. khan will be in some mega mega fights in the future. look at the crowd in newcastle they were great and showed amir tons of support.
it's obviously not the best thing thats happened to him. the best thing would him still being undefeated but i know what you mean. positive's and negative's came from the prescott defeatBritish_Heavyweight wrote:I honestly think Prescott was the best thing that happened to him.
He has shown more character and determination since his defeat than some of our most popular fighters. I also hope in the long run not having the '0' to worry about will mean we'll see him in more exiting and risky fights..
I for one say - COME ON AMIR!!![]()

Did you hate Ricky Hatton and Joe Calazghe?G0mez wrote:Nothing against Amir, he is a decent enough young man.
But until he starts earning the millions of pounds he get per year by fighting decent opponents, I shall not be getting on the bandwagon.
If there is one thing i hate, it's manufactured records.
have to say in the breif meetings Ive had with him he was a nice quiet lad. Ive come full circle after the prescott fight. Liked Khan, then didnt like him, now like him again. I do think its as much to do with his PR as it was him as a person or fighter. Seems to have a more proffessional approach now he'sin the UK, perhaps not being headboy in training has grounded him a little.taffytoon wrote: he is one of the nicest young lad I have ever met in the boxing community. Umm, they're both Brits...hitman_hatton1 wrote:usually want the brits to win ... unless khan gets a fight with hatton.

Manufactured records - Calazghe and Hatton and Khan have all fallen not that far from the same tree...G0mez wrote:Why would i 'hate' them ?Carlos-Wigan wrote:Did you hate Ricky Hatton and Joe Calazghe?G0mez wrote:Nothing against Amir, he is a decent enough young man.
