Sexton v Williams OFF

Post by Stiff_jab »

Sexton has susstained a hand injury leaving him unable to fight for the british title on Feb 13th. I personally am gutted for him.

Is'nt this the second big fight to be called off on the 13th? Does anyone know who is left on the bill apart from the Walshes?

Glad I not got tickets to this. Always pullouts on his bills! Another blow to Warren promotions!

Card is not so strong now. Mitchell v Tba, Brook fighting for Wbo inter title. Williams v TBa if he on the bill at all. The saving fight is Skelton v CHisora.

I think this card should now be called "The wrath of Frank"

Don't know why I'm laughing though - I've got tickets

The card looks incredibly average and isnt remotely similar to when I bought my tickets, I'm gutted to be honest, haven't been to a show for a while and had been looking forward to this. I know things happen but the card is decimated, I wish I'd booked in at the York Hall the night before.

I see your point but I was looking forward to seeing both Chisora Skelton, and Sexton Williams. Rather than being better now, I'd say two well matched fights is now one well matched fight.

Full Card:

Mitchell v TBA

Clev v Brancalion

Williams v Chisora

DeGale v Matthew Barr

Gavin v TBA

Walsh Brothers, Vinny Mitchell and Pro Debut of George Michael Carmen

3 title fights and some decent prospects......not a bad bill at all imo

It looks decent enough, but bloody hell, endless dicking around with the card must be frustrating for those who buy tickets primiarily to see a specific fighter.

Mitchell v TBA, what happened to mcdonagh v Gavin? The Cleverly fight improved the quality alot Brook for Wbo inter title has no real appeal.

Given that there are now down to just two title fights, and one of them is for a vacant belt, is this still being called "Night of The Champions" ? :OhYes:

The only champion in action defending his belt is Danny Williams.

Or are prospects (who make up most of the card) refered to as "champions" now as well. Thats a new step, at least!!!!! LOL!

Cleverly surely needs to fight in Wales to build up a larger fan base. I glad his fight is on the bill. Hope the Italian does not pull out last minute.
