It's getting boring.boxing_rob wrote:Alas, this is the nature of the sport these days, the proliferation of titles means that no domestic fighter need ever face each other, there are more than enough international and intercontinental belts to go around!
Matthew Hatton looking at Euro title.

Yes the Welterweight division is very exciting domestically also chuck Jamie Cox in the mix along with Thompson, McIntyre, Brook, Jennings, Hatton. There will be some good match-ups to look forward toleforge wrote:Hatton could fight Mark Thompson if he win British title just one an elimantor. Michael Jennings. These fights can get made imo.

I think I may have been a bit too cynical in my last post by implying that every single domestic prospect has their own intercontinental belt to fight for! Sometimes this sport can be very frustrating!
There are some good domestic scraps possible at welterweight as highlighted by Alexpaterson above, though I think we can rule Kell Brook out of that mix as he appears to be being pushed towards a WBO title shot. It's a damn shame that Brook VS Jennings never happened, I was looking forward to that one. Do we know who Mark Thompson's co-challenger for the vacant title would be if Brook gives it up? Good opportunity for Hatton to be nominated there surely?
