Toney v Green sparring

just downloaded some of the sparring session between Toney and Danny Green, and i was thinking, i wish that cornerman would shut up and then i realised that it was Toney badmouthing Green right through the session.

Whatever you think of Toney at least he's entertaining.

Toney's detractors made a lot of noise over this, looked to me like Toney was letting Green hit him.

Not taking anything away from Green, but it did look like Toney was just taking it nice and easy, mind you he did look f*cking massive, hard to think he was once down in the same weight division as Green.

Green looked nice in it though, he knew not to get out of the inside with Toney.

Yeah Aussies are tough, i was over there for a couple of years.
Rose, Harding , Fenech, Green to name a few of the hardmen aussie fighters.

I also have a couple of marks on me from a few scraps when i was over there, its not that hard to get into trouble in Australia, just have an english accent in some places

Yeah, I'll second that. I got very close to getting battered by 6 aussie wankers with mullets in Airlie beach. They surrounded me and started calling me a 'pommie pudendum' when I asked them for directions. I walked away, but as soon as I got around the corner I ran like fornicate, had to leap over a couple of garden fences and away from a couple of dogs too, could hear them shouting for a good 10 minutes as they looked for me.

I've always wanted to see Toney vs Lanlonde sparring in 2003. Apparently, even James Toney has admitted that Donny gave him a hard time.

I've seen Lanlondes' defeat against Hill (I think his last fight) and whilst at times he was outclassed, he still wasn't awfull. Hill though of course ran Mormeck very close since.

There are dickheads in every country and you don't have to be a pom to get beaten up either. I am an Aussie and if i go to the nightclubs around Perth there are groups of Arabs, Asians and Aboriginals that are always looking for someone to beat up. It hasn't happened to me but 2 of my mates got beaten up a few weeks ago by a group of young men about 17-18 years old outside a nightclub.

I'd love to see a sparring session between anyone who goes around picking fights, and the aforementioned Green or Toney. Nothing better than seeing a wannabe toughguy getting totally belittled and shown very painfully how tough they really aren't

Green - Toney? The reality is, Green may still have been flying through the air right now had Toney opened up

we have more that our fair share of dick heads over here, trust me!!!!

You seldom see they Aussies fighting to be fair and i attend quite a few aussie venues.... i guess we get the "better" ones over here, the ones who know how to behave!!!

Was in Kingscross(sydney) a couple of years ago and was getting hassled off some sleazy Mutha who`s job was to get people to go to stripshows or whatever...any way he called me a faggot....and that dont go down well with myself so needless to say...it ended in a bit of dooo.

I was working in a hostel at Kings Cross in Sydney, it was full of druggies and loonies, had a transexual prossie there as well, she set fire to her room, had to kick in the door and throw the mattrass out the window it nearly killed the poor f*cker it landed on in the alley.

Also a favourite trick of the junkies was to put used needles in the rubbish bags or empty Macdonalds bags to try and get you pricked when you picked them up.

I left after one of them tryed to steal a telly, i went to stop him and he threw it at me, i picked it up and threw it straight back at him, i thought he'd try and stop it hitting him, but nothing ,smacked him right in the head. I thought best time to leave after that. oh what happy days.
