I'm not a big Warren fan but I have to side with him on this one. He put up with all Khan's indiscretions outside the ring, made him a stack of money and brought him back from the brink to capture a world title.

I don't think Khan has any redeeming qualities.

Its all swings and roundabouts, no doubt Warren will get over it and make some coin out of his olympians. Not sure what Khan really owes him or he owes Khan. It's not like Warren was working for free...

Totally agree. Warren has always had his cut, so I dont really have any sympathy for him. GBP have better connections, can deliver big fights, against better opponents and for more money - Not really rocket science tbh.

And as for all his 'I tried to make the Bradley, Maidana matches.... ,' heard this type of thing from him before, he will , of course, say that. Whether its actuallly true or how far did he pursue it, is another matter.

Two sides to every story, as always.

F W did do a good job, but how come Hatton, Naz, Joe C pretty much every fighter who reaches the top level leave him? I'm guessing Money and thats what it's all about at the end of the day, if he can get more else where you can't blame him for going. It may well back fire though, FW is right about GBP's match making. He may well come back with his tail between his legs. Time will tell.

What part of 'out of contract' do you lot not understand?

Warren would have done exactly the same, if the roles were reversed. This is the third time that Warren hasn't been able to re-sign a contract with a marquee fighter. Hatton, Calzaghe and now Kahn. Maybe he's not as sharp as what I thought he was.

when can we look forward to degale promotions, gavin promotions, saunders promotions, etc?

should the TV companies stop this, carrying the fighter-promoters so that they can have their own outfit?

is this perhaps ruining the art of promoting, of building a fighter?

then again, i've had plenty to whine about watching the FW shows over the past 5 years. they have made me very cynical. but now it seems every fight has to count a bit more, has to mean something extra, has to deliver, with times as they are.

You could argue that Khans indiscretions outside the ring were a result of the stacks of money being thrown at him by the likes of Warren.

A lot of boxers will sign with FW when they start out, because he can offer the best opportunities early on. By the way they all seem to leave though it seems that most of them don't really want to be promoted by him, so when doors start to open up they are off. Maybe FW needs to look at himself and ask why this is the case.

No sympathy at all.

IN MY OPINION Fwank if just being nice because he wants Amir to come back one day.

If Khan makes it HUGE then see what Fwabk has to say.

ITS BUSINESS AND MAYBE FWABK NEEDS TO LOOK AT HIS CONTRACTS AND WAY HE GUIDES PEOPLE.

Easy fights is NOT good matchmaking for the fighter or the PAYING public! That is 99% of why Fwabk guides them to 40-0, as soon as they fight really good fighters most come unstuck.

GBP deal in the UFC type of matchmaking 'You can fight and so can he - let get it on'!

Fwank deals in 'You Bruce Lee he Les Battersby - lets get it on'

Frank W arren did an excellent job for Amir Khan - absolutely unequivocally EXCELLENT.

In my opinion as stated before I honestly believe in my opinion Khan has shafted W arren - but as some have already eluded to perhaps
Mr W arren is getting some of his own medicine.

People can go on all they want about Khan being out of contract, where is Khan's loyalty in all this?? - after the way his career has gone does Khan truly believe W arren could not have continued to do a decent job??

I honestly believe Khan has shown no loyalty to W arren and in my opinion he shows no loyalty to the country he claims to love so much by slating the fans and stating how much he loves the states so much - I appreciate some of you on here are a lot more liberal with your views than I am - and I appreciate you will have a completely different opinion to mine.

Just because many of us believe Mr W arren needs a "lesson" whatever that maybe - does that make it right what Amir Khan has done.

In addition just because many of us do not like the way W arren and his employees go about their business - there is no escaping W arren Promotions has done well for themselves but they have also done well for British Boxing too by putting on some very good shows and fights in the past.

I might have felt sorry for him if it wasn't for the rumours he has not paid Joe Calzaghe what was owed for the BHop fight!

no sympathy for warren at all. but khan couldn't even pick up the phone?? the kid is a disgrace and not even a man!! why can't he just talk facts about haye and froch in his weekly column without slating everything they do? the only reason he is being nice to khan is so he may get him back 1 day

Guys,

Not stating for one minute to feel sorry for Frank W arren - I certainly dont - but because of our opinions concerning W arren we are letting that cloud our judgement concerning whether what Amir Khan done to W arren was correct or not.

2 wrongs do not make a right.

Khan's done nothing wrong though. He was out of contract. He's got a better deal with Golden Boy - now has the connections to fight the best fighters for the best purses.

From a business and law angle you are completely correct.

I am on about was he morally correct bearing in mind my "loyalty" questions and in addition considering what W arren did for him especially after the Prescott defeat.

perhaps warr en is not burning his bridges with khan as khan may come back one day..and need a british promoter. warren learnt this lesson with hatton.

warre n burnt his bridges with calzaghe because joe was too old to ever need warr en again, therefore frank could vent his spleen without fear of losing out on dosh in the future..

'from a business and law point of view', well what other point of view is there spud? 'morally correct' is a total irrelevance, where business and indeed boxing are concerned, spud.

listen its the typical fan forum hypocrisy. if anyone else was in Khan's shoes themselves I have no doubt they would take the extra £££££ in a heartbeat. it's only armchair pundits and experts who even think in these hackneyed unrealistic terms of 'loyalty'.

as people have already said i am sure, in your own job, if someone else offered you more money you would simply take it and its ludicrous to try and judge Khan or any other boxer by these heightened unrealistic standards.
