Just before it was in the paper about him knobing Jordan I was working in Farnborough, I saw a flyer advertising him doing training and had a email some email exchanges with him about him doing some pad work for £12 an hour. I tried calling him a few times and his phone was always off - the next week it was all over the Sun that he was shagging bit tits.

some complete muppets have boxed professionally, but my posts on this thread are geared to the promoter driving this money spinning venture, not reid himself.

i wouldnt call anyone a muppet that goes in there, as itt takes bravery.

but i have seen people where ive thought how did the bbbofc license them. im sure reid would probably get one given to him.

Yes he had his opponent in a triangle about 10 times but couldn't finish it. For the trials he was fighting in the 170lb weight class, so I should imagine he'd be fighting at either supermiddleweight or lightheavyweight.

I dont know much bout MMA but from what ive seen they dont seem to train with too much intensity, its like they just go through the motions. I think its all a bit "jack of all trades, master of none".

:TU: All except the very best MMA fighters seem to be this way.

I'll bet a promoter could get him to 10-0. Christ, if an x footballer with no amateur experience at all can be manouvered properly cos he sells tickets im sure a pro fighter from another sport can.

In fairness to Woodhouse. obviously he has been matched carefully, he has come on leaps and bounds far more than I thought possible, he must have a lot of natural talent

Fit as a fiddle to start with, and a blooming hard trainer and determined lad. Fair play to him.

but surely Reid has a huge advantage in that he is already an experienced fighter. I've read a lot of people saying "oh he's a load of crap at MMA" , now Ive not seen him fight, but c'mon, you have to have something about you to even do what he's done in that sport, surely.

I really need to give you my Cage Rage compilation. 8)

With the exception of Palhares, he's never beaten anyone of even domestic title level quality (using boxing as a comparison).

Not considering the way he talks about himself mate.

He only flourished because Promoters weren't booking decent overseas talent and most of ours was pony at the time, or abroad.

Not with the way my BJJ is going.

Also what weight would they stick him in? He'd have to drain to get to 175 and lose a bit of those sexy muscles.

I could see someone making money out of him. Just like Angel McKenzie.

Is Angel McKenzie really making money from the boxing, well I mean more than the a "normal" pro - didn't seem to attract a big following if her TV debut was anything to go by.
