I like Purdy in this one.
Good clash though - good to see an area title being contested between two good class operators

Re: Lomax v Purdey southern area title
seems like we are getting some good english/area titles this year so far and this one looks like it.
Purdy looked in really good form in his last couple of fights and he's got a bit more about him than Lomax in my opinion.

Whereabouts is this?
Didn't notice when I looked at the schedule earlier, maybe a bit blind....

No confirmation as to the venue yet.
Re: Lomax v Purdey southern area title
Any idea off main event?
Re: Lomax v Purdey southern area title
If it's at Welterweight, Lomax will be walking away with the title. He's a class above the type of opponent Purdey has been boxing.
If they try dragging Lomax down to a weight drained 10st, then Purdey is in with a shout.

It's definately at welterweight and I don't know why it's not showing on the schedule as yet. Michael is a friend of mine so I know it's definately happening!
Re: Lomax v Purdey southern area title
Then, barring cuts, it's Lomax's title.

I do have rumours of headline act but cannot comment as not confirmed, all I can say is it may be at light welter.

Re: Lomax v Purdey southern area title
It's Paul McCloskey defending his EBU light-welterweight title. If this was meant to be some big secret before it's been confirmed someone tell Sky they probably shouldn't be putting it in their monthly sports magazine. Lenny Daws to meet McCloskey later in the year.leforge wrote:celerygolf wrote:I do have rumours of headline act but cannot comment as not confirmed, all I can say is it may be at light welter.Let us know who it might be?celerygolf wrote:I do have rumours of headline act but cannot comment as not confirmed, all I can say is it may be at light welter.
