Was Jimmy Flint with the Repton as an amateur?

Yes he boxed for Repton, and was more boxer than puncher in the unpaid ranks (shades of Kaylor) and actually outpointed one Pat Cowdell. It was Lawless who developed him into a vicious puncher.

I enjoyed watching Mark Kaylor box, I filmed a few days at the royal oak gym in Canning town in 1989 for a doc on George Francis, and will try and upload something soon, a clip was use on a Boxing DVD many moons ago called 'Boxing gone Crazy, Frank Bruno was trying to dance in the gym, funny as fuk
