Why forget Peret? Why not avenge the defeat?
I think he should fight Peret next, Larry prob learned more off that fight than the rest put together. We will really be able to gauge his progress from a rematch .
If that goes well he will be ready for an English title shot
I don't think so,there were reason why he ran out of steam, its not as if Peret won 60-54.

In my opinion Larry needs to forget Peret, Peret means nothing and will just come to survive as mentioned earlier.

I KNOW WHERE YOU ARE COMING FROM BUT PERET = REDEMPTION?

I SAY GET REDEMPTION BY BEATING BETTER THAN PERET.

Just my take.

What is the rush?

I don't think that he will stop fighting journeymen after his latest win (his record is only 7-1), so he might as well fight a journeyman that has a win over him.

You are not afraid he will lose to Peret again are you?

I think it if time to move towards titles - Peret was a blip and the fighter we saw last night would trounce him.

I would rather see FERGUSON get the call than Peret.

If Larry and his team want Peret then that is fine, but I don't think Peret is worth the training camp.

DAVE FERGUSON!

Belshaw's pea-sized head cannot take a punch. I can't believe Maloney had the cheek to say he was the next Lennox Lewis.

It was a good win for Olubamiwo, but not unexpected.

think its time for Scott to retire from the ring.
It has been a rapid decline from somewhat hyped prospect (the white George Foreman comment will live long in my memory!) to seemingly unambitous also ran, hasnt it? Boxing is a hard way to make a living if your heart isnt in it.

When did i say that please show me ? I let Scott go as i saw some things in his make up that was missing for a guy to make it to the top. But on saying that his a nice guy maybe to nice for boxing.

thanks to all u guys for ur support. it really means alot. I wanted this win so badly as Belshaw is a name fighter and a victory over him would help put me up there for a title soon. I knew what I had to do with Belshaw to win the fight and executed it well. There is still a long way to go for me but its getting there.
Also as regards to peret, I dont mind fighting him again but I think the win over belshaw has put that to rest since belshaw lost to then beat peret. And i didn't lose to peret because he was the better fighter, I lost because of outside circumstances. And as someone has already said, a peret fight wont advance me in the rankings towards a title fight. I look forward to my next one and hope u guys cntinue to support me. Do any of u guys have any criticisms of my performance?

if truth be told it wasnt much of a fight as belshaw swalloed it after getting hit.

larry your very roar, your open & pull your arms back to far putting your chin on offer. personally id like too see you tighten up throw punches from your guard, better waist movement is a must as you look akward pulling away from punches.

you need plenty of sparring & have a knowledgeable coach in cook who will tell you everthing you need to know.

good interview :TU: came across good

I don't see why a re-match with Peret should be avoided DG - I know Larry is on the up and up with this excellent win but
a re-match with Peret that results in an impressive win would only do wonders for his confidence in as much as how much he has
come on in the past year. :box:

Its about reward - Larry DONE TELL YOU there were mitigating circumstances for the loss. Peret is not a better fighter.

Beating him means nothing in the rankings, its about jostling for position at the moment, English title should the first consideration belt wise, beating Ferguson would be ideal...

Its not about being Peret being 'avoided' - beating Belshaw and the manner of the victory = progress.

A good idea! Howard is tough and durable to go a few rounds and who knows what might happen. :box:
