2nd part is up now. I will post the preview with Bruno sparring also.

I wish Youtube didn't impose that bloody 10 minute limit on clips.

Mind if I just enjoy? If I actually comment, I think I'll be roughed up from the side lines.

I do have question.....why score a fight that ended in a KO? I don't mean this in a sarcastic way. Was there something about this fight that generated controversy?

While you're up to good works, I've never been able to spend time reviewing the Cummings Frazier bout, one I would love to take a critical look at. Is that a possibility? I've never been able to find it on line. Would you know if it exists somewhere?

The reason why we scored it, is because some times you hear
or read that Cummings was ahead on the cards at the time
of the stoppage.

So it is a good exercise to score the bout, to expose such
excitable boxing myths.

Plus it is a fun exercise to engage in.

How do you clip the vids up so that they are just
10 mins. I have to start getting more uploaded to
YT. I have been slack off late.

Kym, I take the MPG file and chop it into chunks using a simple program called Womble Editor (free on all torrent sites).

I then used to upload the MPG chunks to Youtube, but now I go thru one extra step which is to convert to AVI format which makes the files to upload much smaller and there is no discernable difference in quality.

Thanks for that I shall get onto that tonight when I
get home.
If I tear a DVD ( Audio-TS and Video-TS or what have you)
and use this womble programme, will that convert to mpg
or avi ?

Ill have a crack tonight.

The term is 'rip'. Kym. :D

If the files are in VIDEO-TS, they will already be in MPG format.

You can use Womble to edit VOB files but it can get a bit tricky if the fight runs over more than 1 gb as they split VOB files at 1gb intervals.

If I am getting them off a DVD, I use TMPGenc DVD Editor which rips each title as a complete MPG file which makes it much easier to work with. You can get this software for 'free' from the usual torrent sites.

See how you go and if you get stuck, I'll give you a hand.

You can get a 1tb external DVD for $125 now.

I am slowly ripping my DVDs and storing them as MPEG2 files. You can fit the contents of about 250 DVDs onto one of those 1 tb muthas.

And then there is a device from Dick Smiths called WDTV ($150) which you can plug the external drive into and then connect it to your telly and voila no need for DVDs or DVD players.

I have a TB external, that has some good bouts on it
but mostly music - jazz, blues-.

I am interested in the WDTV however. I shall check into
that.

I shall have boxing ripped and stored nicely then. Will
save having piles of DVDs around the base of my TV.

Jumbo doesn't look like he knows how to deal with Bruno's jab. When he parrys it, he reaches for it with his right, leaving himself open for Bruno's hook. So far (3 rds) Bruno hasn't used a hook but it looks like Bruno could feint a jab, let Jumbo reach for it, and then throw his hook. But who knows, Jumbo looks explosive at times. Maybe Bruno is waiting for him to tire more.

Anyway, it is a fun video to watch.

Bruno seems very cautious and safe behind that jab.

I think Jumbo's power scared him early.

Bruno - Cummings is a fight I had wanted to see. I had never seen Jumbo fight and I was surprised by how athletic he was. I had always read that he was stiff, slow, etc. He moved well, he just lacked some boxing skills. Bruno on the other hand had very good fundamentals.

Jumbo might have had an edge athletically, but Bruno had a big edge in boxing skills. The skills won out. It wasn't a close fight, but there was always the chance that Jumbo might land a big one. A good fight to watch. Thanks for posting it.

A tense, thrilling battle in the magnificent setting of a packed Royal Albert Hall. Even from TV, you could cut the atmosphere with a knife as Bruno gave his only ever come-from-behind performance.
Cummings deserved the chance to continue, however.

I don't think he was behind though. Both Collins and I had it scored the
same way though. Besides the hairy opening round, the fight was
all Bruno essentially leading up to the stoppage.

Would have been fun as to watch live on TV.
