Denis Lebedev- whats happened to him?

Post by whicker »

Had a good win over Enzo, in Manchester, and then nothing much heard about him since.

I'm not sure if he lives in the UK, but I'm fairly sure he is an allegedly allegedly fighter.

He is the WBO "international" champ, and is due to defend that again, so where does he fit into the picture (assuming he wins?)

Opponents usually shoot themselves in the foot when they don't follow the script

Lol!

In this instance, though, he does seem to be somewhat of a prospect in his own right. And presumably popular enough with the Russians.

Lebedev beat Ali Ismailov just over a month ago. Ismailov lost a split decision verdict to Victor Emilio Ramirez last May, which was for the WBO title. On my cards, I had Ismailov winning. So Lebedev is not just a prospect, he's a very good prospect.

As said since beating Enzo he got a huge win over former WBO challenger Ali Ismailov, and is defending his WBO Inter-Continental title next month against a guy who went the distance and took some rounds of Enad Licina.

He's ranked WBO #1 and I doubt it'll be too long before he becomes Huck's mandatory. He hasn't gone off the radar at all, infact he's exactly where he'd want to be at the moment and has sort of shown that all 3 of Enzo's recent losses have come against good fighters.
