Boxing fan Andy Murray met with Ricky Hatton, a two-time IBF and IBO light welterweight boxing champion, in the players lounge after his quarter-final victory over second seed and defending champion Rafael Nadal.

"Ricky is going to come for the next match [versus Marin Cilic]," said Murray. "I think he said he was leaving on Friday to go to Sydney. I'm a huge boxing fan. never met him before. spoke to him for 15 or 20 minutes after the match. [He was a] really, really nice guy."
