he doenst lack bottle , but he still has other issues with his fighting and preperation mentality . bottler ??? maybe not , but maybe he has realised that his time has come and could get seriuosly hurt , hang them up DW , your time has passed , give the younger guys the chance to jostle positions in the british heavyweight scene . i highly doubt that chisora will now fight for the british on this show , even if williams was stripped, id expect chisora to still fight a tick over fight , against a lee swaby type with chisora then fighting sexton for the british in early summer.

Re: Williams bottles it
This hasn't been a good month for pull-outs/cancellations for the sport. Williams is now out, Berto had to cancel a scheduled fight with Mosley & we learned that for the time being, there is Mayweather vs Pacquiao!

I am 100% sure Haye never will!
And there is a very good chance Larry will - maybe not next month, but one day.
DD
with the likes of price fury dallas chisorsa sexton and burton he might fight for it but i doubt he will ever win it

Williams could get seriously hurt in the Ring, but certainly not against Derek Chisora
, trust me on that.
Get Skelton in there against Del Boy, but don't make it for the British.
Sexton should be the man to fight for that title if it becomes vacant.

ok .. bad choice of words for man who took licks against Klitschko. But he clearly didn't fancy it. He has had his day and should ride off into the sunset.damianhucker1 wrote:he doenst lack bottle , but he still has other issues with his fighting and preperation mentality . bottler ??? maybe not , but maybe he has realised that his time has come and could get seriuosly hurt , hang them up DW , your time has passed , give the younger guys the chance to jostle positions in the british heavyweight scene . i highly doubt that chisora will now fight for the british on this show , even if williams was stripped, id expect chisora to still fight a tick over fight , against a lee swaby type with chisora then fighting sexton for the british in early summer.

The British Title will change hands a few times in the next year.
Time will be the judge.
BUT IT WON'T BE HAYE!
Re: Williams bottles it
Glad I did not buy tickets for this now.
Re: Williams bottles it
there not great names but they'd all beat larry, and incase you hadn't noticed I was being sarcastic over haye
Re: Williams bottles it

I am not a fan of Williams - though I would have put the farm on him sparking Farmuuur Sexton out - how dare you use the word 'bottle' in a negative reference towards Danny Williams - our bravest British heavyweight since Don Cockell.

Re: Williams bottles it
damn i've got a ticket for this...the only fight with an uncertain outcome is now Cleverly Brancalion, which is hardly top-of-the-bill-at Wembley material......there's some good names, but they're all on the left hand side......

Leon Willams I heard the guy who lost to Rasani in his last fight.

Interesting news and so unlikely that you would assume its probably trueleforge wrote:Leon Willams I heard the guy who lost to Rasani in his last fight.
Might explain why Chisora seems to be off the bill as well
Re: Williams vs Chisora - Williams is considering pulling out?
The bill looks very fragile now. This seems a waste of a Saturday slot on Sky.

Would I be too much of a conspiracy theorist to wonder if, after it has happened SO many times, it might actually be on purpose, i.e. a business strategy? Absolutely load a fight bill, have fans going "fair dos, he's really delivered this time", have them snap up tickets, but by the night it barely resembles what was originally announced, yet most people are probably not bothered enough to pursue a refund.DG. wrote:Who do you mean?oliverfennell wrote:Funny how bills from a certain promoter usually are.funso banjo baby wrote:im glad this bill has gone pants down

OK, this is a sport in which these things happen and we just have to accept that. But it happens SO often with one particular promoter, SO much more than with any rival organisations in the same country, that I honestly have started to wonder if its intentional.
And before any legal types jump on this, I have not alleged or claimed anything, only spoke my thoughts and questions. As a fan and as someone who has paid this company before (and watched on TV, which also constitutes being a consumer), I'm entitled to ask.
Re: Williams vs Chisora - Williams is considering pulling out?
I agree with you Oliver.
As I have tickets for this show then I feel entitled to state my opinion. Me and my mate purchased tickets for this show weeks ago before the majority of decent match ups started to crumble. What is left now hardly resembles what was first advertised (and what tickets were sold on) so I've contacted allegedly promotions to ask if refunds are available.
This is about the third or fourth of his promotions in a row where I've had tickets and felt let down. So simple action to take is I won't buy tickets for any more of his promotions (have said that before but this time will stick to it...)
In contrast, have attended many shows staged by other promoters who, yes have their share of pull outs, but not to this extent and generally offer better value for money.
Hello to all on Boxrec by the way, I'm a long time reader of the forum but rarely post.

You really do have to wonder. In my wisdom I bought mine and a mates tickets in advance, havent been to a show for a while (both financial and time constraints) and thought the depth of the card made it worth the outlay. The bill has since been decimated and I'm stuck with two tickets to a show nobody seems to give a toss about. I wish they would do the decent thing and cancel the cursed show so that ticketmaster will refund my tickets, as I'm apparently stuck with them otherwise. Unless anyone else knows different...?
Night of champions my hole.

Heard about that happening the other day, but there are so many gym rumours I don't believe any of themchopsticks wrote:chisora would have lost , he got sparked in sparring off a cruiser
Re: Williams vs Chisora - Williams is considering pulling out?
I wouldn't be surprised if there is some truth to this, seen williams in the amateurs a fair few times and he can really bang. Also Chisora does not strike me as the most elusive type.

Re: Williams vs Chisora - Williams is considering pulling out?
I had a disagreement a while ago on an other thread with a guy who was offended when i said Kevin Mitchell couldnt sell out The O2.Somebody even accused him of been Vinny Mitchell!I wonder what his thoughts are on the ticket sales here, the half-hall Wembley Arena.
Re: Williams vs Chisora - Williams is considering pulling out?
Regarding tickets sales, Mitchell has he ever headlined a bill?
