Would a win over N'Dou put Witter ahead of Hatton?

I think it should. Despite how much the African seems to be overlooked around here surely there is no denying he is superior to anyone Hatton has faced to date?

Ndou BEAT Mitchell in MANY peoples eyes (Tackie was shut out) and Ndou gave Cotto his TOUGHEST fight to date. He is MILES better than the one-dimensional Tackie!!!!
These Hatton fans... anything to make him ahead of Witter!
When Junior does Ndou he will have eclipsed Hatton while Hatton prepares to pull out of the Tszyu fight.
Ironic how Witter is leaving HATTON behind

I actually forgot about the performance against mitchell, though i've not actually seen it myself. He looked pretty limited when I saw him against Cotto, but maybe that was Cotto's doing.
As for Eclipsing Hatton, well until I hear that Hatton has pulled out of the Tszyu fight, then so far, Hatton is still in the #1 position.

In my opinion it will put him ahead of Hatton for the time being... Only for a few months though til Hatton fights Tszyu.
But lets say Witter wins.... where does he go from there? Assuming legal issues are resolved then Gatti will be facing Mayweather... and the winner would be trying for a shot at Tszyu? Where would that leave Witter? left in the dark waiting for his shot?

To be honest, I think it will depend on the performance if it's an impressive win I think you would have to say his resume is at least as good at Hatton's. A knockout victory could put him right up there and would attract a lot of attention seeing as he's never been stopped. But as everyone says, the fact that Hatton is signed to fight Zoo makes it a bit irrelivant.
In my opinion no, just. I know we've been over this a million times before and I really don't want a load of replys to this naming Junior and Ricky's opponents one by one and comparing them, it's just my opinion that Ricky has fought against better opposition consistently over the last couple of years.
A resounding win for Witter over N'dou would go a long way to over-turning this but I'd just give Hatton's ledger the edge.
Lest to say I'm just over the moon that their next 2 fights are against who they are.

Ndou seems allot better than Tackie based on the fact he nearly beat Mitchell and Mitchell shut out Tackie and he gave Cotto problems.
This is a high risk fight though, which Ndou could well pull off, in which case Witter drops below Hatton. Witter on the world scene would be more highly regarded if Hatton gets blasted out by Zoo. Mitchell is a great fighter but everyone has lost respect for him after he was blasted out by Zoo.
I actually think the best chance of Witter-Hatton happening is if Hatton doesn't have a belt and has lost a few fights and Witters managed to grab a belt, which he may if Zoo moves upto 147 and dumps the belts and he fights a faded Mitchell or someone lesser for the belts (although Mitchell seems to have gone to 147)

You think the blue moon fans will switch to support Bradford City007 wrote:If Witter beats N'Dou emphatically and Hatton gets clobbered in a couple of rounds Witter will be above him surely?
Hatton once hes been starched in 1round will still be worth 500k a fight, Witter will still be worth less than 6figures a fight.
Maybe Junior should pretend hes from Leeds and is a Leeds U fan. Instead of Blue Moon they could beat up an Asian Student pre-fight. I actually went to uni with a friend of that lad that had Lee Bowyer biting his face.

Witter has fought Zab Judah, people who've been exposed, and nobodies.
Hatton has ran scared from Witter for years.

Yer that's my own feeling, although Ndou is a big step up for Witter, he has still lost 7 times, and consistenly falls short at world level.Goz wrote:In my opinion no, just. Couple that with the weak arse oppostion that Witter has been facing in his last 14 or so fights, and there is no way I can put Witter near Hatton if he beats Ndou.
It also pays to remember that when Ndou was mooted as an opponent for Hatton, most people groaned. Says it all really.
BTW Witter should be beating Ndou with plenty to spare.

Ndous better under Fenech than he was in his early career losses, fighters improve and not everyone is sheltered like a certain Manchunian has been.Twinkle Toes wrote:Yer that's my own feeling, although Ndou is a big step up for Witter, he has still lost 7 times, and consistenly falls short at world level.Goz wrote:In my opinion no, just. I think everyone would have been very happy with Ndou as a Hatton opponent as he arguable beat Mitchell.
1win against Ndou would put Witter and Hatton in about the same place on CVs alone. Ndou is certainly better than Tackie and Phillips.

Only because of Hattons fighting an old man with no punch who is past it in Oliveria ONLY BECAUSE "It's a warm up for Tszyu".Twinkle Toes wrote: It also pays to remember that when Ndou was mooted as an opponent for Hatton, most people groaned. Says it all really.
THE OLIVERIA FIGHT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE TSZYU FIGHT, ACCORDING TO HATTON.
But Tszyu was coming after Oliveira.
That's why people weren't happy.
I am talking about in the rankings - Witter will be ahead of Hatton in the rankings if he beats N'Dou and Hatton loses badly.Phenomenal-Nutrition wrote:You think the blue moon fans will switch to support Bradford City007 wrote:If Witter beats N'Dou emphatically and Hatton gets clobbered in a couple of rounds Witter will be above him surely?![]()
