It's looking increasingly like Jones Hopkins has now been moved to April 3. Ergo Khan Maidana too.

You are losing it again, remember what the doctor said?
Too much forum activity sends you the wrong way.

Let us all know when adam booth rings you up for your advice after all he ''needs to listen!''.

Just dont turn up to the fight with cans of coke and alkeseltzer strapped to your chest when the phone does'nt ring.

Haye's had a lot of publicity since Valuev and Ruiz is not a bad opponent in that he should last a good 8 rounds. I think this will sell well because Haye is a good PR merchant and then there's the pull of the "Heavyweight Championship."

Just a thought chaps. A little while ago Al Legedly secured a deal with the MEN for exclusive boxing promotional rights. It was almost certaintly as levergage/ spoiler for hatton.

Presumably this has expired?

Or was it a deal with 'Sports Network LTD'? :D

BIGMARK & Eric & others :TU:

10 years - 10 f*cking years you lot have been trying to bring me into line and it is not working - I will not be dictated to and I will not go with the majority just because it seems the right thing to do - it is you lot who need to give up with your self righteous - this is how we want you to behave b*llocks - For the very last time - if you do not like what I write - shove it up your ar*e - if the moderators or the owner does not like what I write they can ban me.

Back to the thread ...

Forget your lectures - shove them up your arse - I have got a reaction both on this forum and on my phone because I am right for a change - if any other promoter especially W*rren or Fight Academy had announced a show and started to sell tickets without a single clue of the undercard there would be f*cking uproar on here - simple FACT.

Then why announce the show ?? - after ALL contracts had been signed and fights sanctioned - there would still be plenty of time to fill the venue.

I know how it works - Haye's and Ruiz schedule would have been perfectly okay to fit around a press conference to announce the show in what I believe a more professional manner - I am also willing to bet once the show was announced in what I believe should have been in the correct manner then even more tickets would have been sold in the "crucial" first 48-72 hours.

I fully understand why the undercard has not been announced because there is at least one particular fight where the contract has not been signed and the fight has not been formally sanctioned by the appropriate governing body.

But I will keep on stating it - there could have been a huge press conference at a venue where the "hype" could have been built up both in the main attraction and the Chief Support and I am willing to bet more than the 5500 tickets sold in the first 24 hours would have gone through the tills.

When Fwank or FA make sky £15M (gross) on one show then they can sell tickets without announcing the undercard.

Its all promotion, the people can buy now or buy later, its their choice.

Its still better than buying a ticket for a bill based on the fighters then watch the main fights fall through.

The forum went on its ass whilst he was away - now I can smell the smoke again!

Don't know if this is relevent at all, but as I understand it, the whole rights to the tickets have been handed over to the Arena / Ticketmaster.
If you've no vested interest in the attendance, but a fully vested interest in the PPV figure where would you concentrate your work ?
There will clearly be a budget to work to for the undercard, and often there is a perception because it's a PPV event there's a bottomless pit to spend.
I'm not saying anyone's right or wrong Spudster but if it's true that 7k have gone (I don't necessarily buy into that) then it's not a bad start.
I think David will be more concerned about how many settee bums are on seats that are multiplied by £14.95 !
