Albert Sosnowski v Audley Harrison

Post by Ferris Bueller »

Fighting in London in April

Anyone know who the promoter is? Albert's promoter used to put on a lot of joint shows over here with Barry Hearn, making me wonder if this is his show

This would make AS the home fighter in effect - a useful advantage

Anyone know for certain?

I thought Snozcumber lived here and Audrey lived in the states now?

Therefore Snozcumber is the home fighter !

Albert Sosnowski lives in Brentwood, England. Audley Harrison lives in California, USA.

I thought Sosnowski was promoted by Hearn.

Sosnowski is the home fighter.

Haha I like it Terry :D

btw I doubt Albert lives in Brentwood somehow - it's totally not a boxing town! More likely boxrec heard he lives in Brentford and got a bit confused

Albert lives in Poland, but has a British licence does most of his training over here and stays at his trainer's parents house near Gatwick Airport.

I think the Audley fight is Ally Pally

Audleys last chance really. I would like to see him win this and I think he can aswell, Sosnowski is good but not that good. Homefight for the Pole in London, few Polish lads that live down the road from me are heading over to it even though they don't have a big interest in boxing but Sosnowski is big in Poland.

Hearn has Audley now & seems to be grooming him for a shot at David Haye; regardless of where each man currently resides, ultimately Audley is the Brit & Albert the Pole, I'm sure Matchroom are aware Audley as European champ is more sellable.

Either way I think Audley wins by late stoppage & Haye/Harrison looms in 2010.

sosnowski wants adamek and audley wants haye. i think it's a case of "dream on" for both of them.

sosnowski will surely be too tough and active for audley, though the pole will be considerably smaller.

I think Audley wins this one too big he'll keep him behind the jab and not let Sosnowski use his movement. I'm going for Audley a close but clear UD

When Audley lets his punches go, a rare event but it does eventually happen, he is precise & does damage, and Sosnowski has been stopped by a clubfighter before, late on in a fight.

Sosnowski is on strong form & it will be a very credible result should Big Aud off him.

Sosnowski is well built but a little slow however he is a tough and will be as strong as Rogan.

Audley has the footwork and needs to rip in the uppercuts and pick his punches with speed but if he backs off it could be a very scrappy , dull fight.

this needs a good undercard

I remember Sosnowski was close to being knocked out by Zuri Lawrence(he of 0 KO's)

If Audley fights a controlled fight and uses his natural advantages in height, reach and speed he'll win by a scrappy UD or late stoppage but if he gets hit and goes into his shell like he always does then Sosnowski wins.

It's a tough fight for Audley, stylewise I think Sosnowski has the edge as I don't think Audley does well against guys with high work rates. Audley is 39 now so whether he can improve is up for debate. If he does win tho there are some interesting potential rematches out there for him.
