Do you believe this?

Post by oliverfennell »

Our own Frank Maloney says he dropped a crucial spelling bollock on purpose. Are you buying it?

Trying to dig his way out of a hole by the sounds of it. I'm not sure the much used saying 'any publicity is good publicity' applies in this case

Given that Frank is dyslexic (how ironic that the word is so hard to spell), I think we can safely assume it was not a deliberate ploy (or play)...

Whether it was deliberate or not, it's seems to have gone down poorly.

I like Frank Maloney and hope he succeeds 'regadless'

Almost as bad as the one about the dyslexic, insomniac, agnostic. He used to lie awake at night wondering if there was a dog..

Of course it's important, because political rivals will jump on ANY mistake. Just look at the fuss over the Janes/James/Jones woman. You can't very well stand on a platform of caring for Britain if you can't even spell the name of the country you love so much (assuming it wasn't deliberate).

That may be so - in which case, all the more reason he should have someone check his material before printing!

disagree.

all it proves is he can't spell. What about all them tw@ts that skanked the expenses. They could all spell beautifully I'm sure. So who gives a crap if Maloney can't spell. It's amusing, even a bit newsworthy, but in the wider context not much significance should be attached to it. And Maloney by saying it was deliberate just made himself sound a bit dafter if anything. It's really something and nothing.

I do agree. I even think politicians' private lives should be no consideration when voting, but you see how much fuss is kicked up when one has an affair. But it does suggest, at the very least, not paying attention to detail, and as I said, mistakes of any sort will be jumped all over by opponents.

More shocking is that some people actually read the Daily Mail.

It's the most vile, racist and wrongly opinionated rag out there.
