Tyson getting counted out against Douglas is interesting. If you watch you see Tyson wastes about 3 seconds picking his gumshield up. If he had left his gumshield where it was and just got up he would have beat the count and probably got a few extra seconds to rinse his gumshield. He was gone to be fair and probably wouldn't have recovered from that knockdown but anything can happen, especially with his knockout power!

I will get slated for this (again), and I am no great Tyson fan, but Douglas wasted about five hours to clamber up at the count of 'nine' a couple of rounds earlier.

Remember Don King running 'the long count' argument immediately after the fight, looking to get the result over turned?

Those were the actions of a desperate man who could see his cash cow's future earning potential taking a major dent.

Don Curry vs Milton McCrory.

It's just such a beautiful punch, so wonderfully delivered and McCrory goes down like a puppet who's had his strings cut. And Curry just walks in with the right hand in a flash... savage.

McCallum knocking out Curry's interesting too. Just the whole move and momentum. In the what, 23 years since it happened, it's still a knockout I don't tire of watching.

Lewis v Rahman is a great one too. Real 'timbeerrrrrr!!!' knockout.

Yeah, he was definitely my favourite fighter of the 90s - his fights were pure entertainment and at his sharpest, when he found his power as champion, he was an incredible, if vulnerable, fighter.

I have heard that in recent years, much like Meldrick Taylor, he is slurring and showing signs of taking too many shots - that is sad to hear because he was such an entertaining fighter...

When I joined this site my username was as a tribute to Terry Norris and the more obscure, but equally exciting and hard hitting 'Brooklyn Terror' Terrible Terry McGovern :TU:

This could be viewed as an 'interesting' KO:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DeQGaNDNi78

The only fight footage I have ever found of Terry McGovern - KOing the great Joe Gans in a non title lightweight fight.

Was it a dive, as so many rumoured? I can't decide.

id still agree with that after all this time , dont think it made any difference to his career though in the end , he hardly trained at all for the fight apparantly , so if hed have won hed have thought he was bloody invincible , i was a huge tyson fan and i suppose we will never know , but his out of the ring antics are what defined his career in the end , that fight no matter how bad a decsion , wouldnt have changed a great deal , and someone of a sounder mind wouls maybe have taken it as wake up call.
