Juan "El Puma" González
Juan "El Puma" González
There appears to be a notable contradiction between the record that we have for Juan González (5-0 5KOs; http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_ ... &cat=boxer) and the record (6-0 6 KOs) that is being mentioned constantly by the Puerto Rican media and now his promoter, Promociones Miguel Cotto (check this poster: http://www.platzpr.com/prboxea/images/s ... 101bor.jpg). Can someone contact the Commission and check which fight we are missing?

Have you contacted the commission?
Re: Juan "El Puma" González
Likewise, the commission is notorious for leaving "random civilians" hanging. As far as the promoter (Promociones Miguel Cotto) goes, there seems to be some trouble with the information in boxrec. For example, we are missing that David Quijano (http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_ ... &cat=boxer) won his division's USNBC title (he received the belt last week: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Vao7SdY ... r_embedded) in his fight against Miguel Robles, so in this case, it seems like the problem is simply lack of detailed reports. He has also fought above 120 only once, so I'm not sure why he is being listed as a "super featherweight".Blue wrote:The media, promoters and publicist are notorious for inflating a prospect's statistics.
