Ndou pulls out

Post by lirva33 »

According to btalk, N'dou has pulled out.

Don't know WHY but perhaps he saw a few tapes of Witter.

Where does Junior go from here?

If he has pulled out, Hennessey said he had a replacement lined up to step in.

Boxingtalk are not the most reliable of sources either.

It says Junior will still be on the card but NOT fighting Ndou.

ndou has travelled a long way from Australia to the US. He sounded up for the fight so MAYBE btalk have got it wrong?

It's very dissapointing if it's true. I wonder who the replacement is though? Not another Fred Kinuthia I hope.

I guessed former Lightweight champion Cesar Bezan.

He's a WBC man and due to fight shortly too?

Ranked #12 by the WBC.

Thats my guess.

I'd be gutted if N'Dou has pulled out was looking so forward to watching Witter n N'Dou get it on, but it makes no sense to me why would N'Dou pull out, i'm just hoping that the story is a load of bollocks

Just found this:

"Australian junior-welterweight Lovemore Ndou is expected to fight on the undercard of that bout after yesterday pulling out of Sunday's with Britain's Junior Witter in LA after a contract dispute."

This story is gathering momentum.

I think Wtter may be looking for another opponent.

The WBC's is a short list.....

Yes, perhaps contracts were initially negotiated on the basis of a non-televised bout, and N'dou decided he wanted more cash for PPV? Either that or he's just trying to get more money full stop.

could be Hennessey trying to get options on him, I thought De la Hoya was the promoter so has he said anything about this?

Maybe Mick could throw N'Dou a bit more cash and persuade him to step in as a late replacement for himself.
