I think we had that one in the last page or two. I picked Hagler on a split, so there it is.

War. I think that best describes that matchup. Edge to Castillo though, and the win comes via late round stoppage. He was packing heat at 135.

It's Puerto Rico's celebration, this time --- Gomez stops Morales in eleven spectacular rounds. Both men get off the canvas to see the end result. Morales finishes on his feet, though badly hurt.

Duran of the Leonard fight takes Tito's best shot, takes him apart on the inside, stops him in ten or eleven.

Vargas takes the same beating that Davey Moore did. Except, thinking about it, Vargas' chin wasn't as good as Moore's, so maybe he gets mashed up a little less by the simple expedient of not lasting as long.

nice. I think Haugen finds a way to beat Mayweather here. He takes some lumps early, get cut/marked up over his eyebrows, but once Mayweather's legs have tired and his movement slows down, haugen uses his under-rated jab and tricky head movement to get inside and outwork Mayweather. 7 rounds to 5 or more clearly. I don't think he hits hard enough to stop Mayweather but he comes close to beating the dog out of him late.

Very tough fight to call both have very good fundementals I think Ken has the edge in the jab and speed but JMM is a bit cleverer. I would go with Buchanan winning it late with the early rounds being early give and take and in the second half of the fight Ken's superior fitness taking over making JMM fight at a pace he isn't comfterable with.

Its war that lasts less than 6 rounds, Holyfield wins in a possible F O T Y. Hearns - Pacman at 147?

Somehow I can’t take out of my head the Hearns vs Duran fight. Duran was just too small and the same with Pac. Pac is great, but Hearns is a moster at 147 and I don’t see this fight past 4 or maybe 5 rounds. Hearns by brutal KO.

Love that match up. Mosley is just passed his best weight if you ask me, and Pryor would take that fight I think.
Close decision for Pryor, but if the judges are the same than Mosley-DLH II, don't be surprised if Sugar pulls the decision.

Prime Shavers puts the vastly overrated Ibebuchi to sleep in the 7th round. I don't care if he went the distance with Tua or not.

Just too much speed to match that devastating power from Tyson for Frazier to survive the early going. He gets stopped in three by a merciful referee.

Roberto Duran vs. Meldrick Taylor at Jr. Welter, but in an eight-rounder...

Duran gets into Taylor's head and makes him fight his fight. Duran stops him late in the 6 or 7 round. Duran was pretty fast himself too with better defense and plenty of power to boot. Duran TKO 6 or 7 rounds or wins a clear decision.

Nicolino Locche vs Floyd Mayweather jr at 135 or 140. who wins this battle of defensive wizards. For me Locche is top 5 in the defense department without a doubt.

I would go with Floyd, during the middle rounds he could counter-punch Locche efectively and wins on points.

Great battles. Laguna was such an under-rated force.

Pushed, I'd go for Mayweather on a close, though clear, UD & Whitaker to do the same against Laguna --- maybe the latter fight is controversially close.

Main Event: Evander Holyfield vs. Jimmy Young. 12 Rounds.

Undercard: Michael Moorer vs. Oscar Bonavena. 12 Rounds.

By gosh, i believe i've dumbfounded the forum ; /

I see Calzahge just barely outboxing Hagler en route to a Majority Decision triumph.

Roldan goes the distance with Galindez and even decks em once early in a whirlwind back and forth barn burner by loses by SD.

Byrd outboxes and outslicks Moorer to a clear cut UD.

Corrales and Chacon go at it full tilt the entire duration of the memorable brawl. No loser in this one.No winner either.

Mosley's hands are just too quick for McGirt, who loses on a closer-than-it-should've-been majority decision in a surprisingly dull fight.

Jeff Harding (first Andries fight) vs Thomas Hearns (ooh, let's say... Andries fight! Why not?), twelve rounds, light-heavy.

Oh yes.

I don’t think Hearns was that good at light heavyweight but he still better than Harding. Hearns by KO in around 7 rounds.

DeJesus by wide decision. Marquez at LW is definitely not at his best, despite the Diaz fight, and DeJesus is too fast and slick for Marquez.
