Yeah, I was too. Really surprised. However Ricky is a good boxer too. We faced him during his last year at the Silvers and then again at JOs. I should have video on the fight when the get back.

Atlanta Coach - are you going to be able to record. Is Rondarrius going tonight?

I'm going to have to talk to Ray Rogers about this Region structures. I forgot you had CO too! Isn't CA enough for Region 8? No wonder you had 44 boxers at the Silvers. Really, how could you not win the team trophy with those kind of numbers?

Heh heh - green, eh! :DD We have 7 states in our region: California, Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah and Nevada (Hawaii makes #7 but Ray won't let them participate - some problems with Hawaii LBC and Golden Gloves). Please remember that each state has a district and, in California (with 4 LBCs), a state tournament before getting to the regionals, so the winnowing process is pretty hefty. Utah rarely brings any boxers, so the regional team is mostly Calif., Colorado, Arizona and Nevada athletes.

22-11 computers scoring = not close. Daquan is a slick boxer and I'm sure he moved and throw a lot of combinations from varied angles. I'll have video up this weekend or early next week.

it will be a circus. Lol. In Cincy, Nuke will bring out his belts, lights, music and the whole crowd will be his tickets. I hope to get video but I've seen his Cincy fights and they are almost as entertaining before the fights as during. I was wondering why the had what appeared to be an entertainment group logo on the usab homepage for the under-19 with warrens picture on it. I thought he was a no show but he is the show. Lol. Who's the guy he's boxing? I don't recognize the name, which isn't a good sign.

If it's the same Vasquez he was at the Ringside World Tournament and lost pretty easily to Issac Aguilar and that was the only time I saw him. He didn't make it out of his region for any tournament with John Franklin there and whoever else. But he does have some skill, young too I think 18.

Actually I thought Jesus beat issac at the ringside. it was a close fight though. And he has beat jhon franklin before at state. very skilled kid up and coming. He went to the U-19 for the tournament, but came up a day short to compete. So he steped up to warren since nobody else would.

Everybody should be wanting to face Warren. It is a no-lose proposition. You lose, everybody expected it so no big deal plus you get the experience of being in with a World Champ (gold in '07) and 2-time Olympian (maybe 3-time after 2012). How many boxers can say they have been in with the best? If the boxer looks good or wins, then they really have something to talk about. No doubt about it, everyone should want to do it. I applaud the kid from CO for taking the challenge. It will only make him better.

So did he lose to Galvadon at regionals? How did he not make it out? I don't get to see 4 states or golden gloves for that region but I know Franklin has done the most at 119.
