There's a series of historical boxing programmes on tv channel Yesterday (12 on freeview).
It's on at 8am - 9am every morning it seems There 's a some info on the website but it's incomplete/incorrect & says it not showing at the moment.

This week i've seen Jack Johnson's and Joe Louis' stories and today is about LaMotta, Robinson the IBC. You get your usual Bert Sugar and other talking heads but also some stuff i'd never seen on tv before before like a clip of LaMotta v Cerdan.

THERE'S 4 EPISODES IN TOTAL. FIRST AIRED oops caplock, in the late 90s on BBC 2 on a Sunday.

I have La Motta Cerdan highlights. But it's on monochrome.

A friend of mine watched one of the episodes (jack dempsey) the other day and called me about it, he isn't much of a boxing fan but after watching this show said he wan'ts to start paying more attention to the sport.

I watched the Muhammed Ali - Joe Frazier one today. I didn't have a clue I had the Yesterday channel until this thread. It's up around channel 530 on Sky. Can't beat a good boxing documentary.
