As stated above, there's only one person in this conversation that brings race into it. Well, then again, if Green outright said white power he'd be labelled a racist, so lucky he didn't.....

Green, as with most boxers these days, is trying to make the biggest fights. That's not always going to be against the best fighters, but for him to bring them here - there needs to be the financial incentive to do so. Green vs Holyfield would bring more $$'s I'd assume then Green vs Dawson, as an example. B-Hop would've been great.
Unfortunately most of us don't see/hear the negotiations that do or don't occur with these big names/best fighters.
Has Mundine TRULY offered Pavlik, Sturm fights?
Has Green TRULY offered Dawson a fight?
We know that B-Hop and Green were in some stage/form of negotiation because of all the publicity it got and the quotes from B-Hop himself, after his initial rejection of the fight anyway. That one can be verified at least.
Both of these guys, deep down, realise they're never going to be a TRUE world champion (ie: holding multiple belts, beating the best of the best - this isn't an alphabet soup ridicule) and they're trying to get big $$ fights against big name opponents who they have a chance at beating.
The only difference between the two is that for the most part it seems Green is trying a little bit harder to get fighters more talented than what Mundine is.

Willem is a goose. No point trying to explain things to him as he has no idea. Obviously all Aussies are racist.

I don't think I ever used the term racism in direct reference to Danny Green.
Anyway...you're right, that's not what this is about. That's the reason I don't like Green, that's the reason I don't think Choc should take this offer. But there's much more to talk about, no use keeping on going 'round in circles.

I thought the whinge was pretty lame when it first came out, but after reading the letter, it's appears entirely legit.

I do research into culture, ethnicity, and aid/charity for a living.

So I've got more opinions on that than most people...which as Ben K said make me a goose and a moron. But they're not baseless, I do actually understand what I'm talking about, and I actually don't think that I have contradicted myself...not really worth going through it though.

I found this thread, and signed up because I was searching for news on this Green/Mundine thing. I actually started following boxing because I wanted to see Mundine lose, and I supported Green. Then following him, watching the way he spoke, the way he marketed himself and so on, it turned on its head, and I can't stand the guy.

Forums are strange places Willem. I'm new to them, and only really post here. There are those with strong opinions, those with irrational love for some fights (yes, I'm refering to you Lowie) and those who are just straight up fans.

It's good posting here with blokes that know and genuinely like the sport. I like the different opinions tbh. There have been some great new posters come on here lately, and although I might not agree with all of them, I hope they stick around and keep it interesting.

Its not your dislike for Green that makes you a goose. Its the fact that you discredit him for giving money to charity. Green may be using the Charity angle to force Mundines hand but getting 800K is a lot better than getting Fuckall.
And bringing up the Handwraps just shows your Biased, The NSW comission signed off on the wraps.

I want this fight to happen so badly. Geale has gone quiet, no rematch with Mundine on the cards anytime soon. Greens last fight was too quick to enjoy and the fact that Mundine fights poor opposition means we the boxing supporting public are starved of anything that could resemble a classic fight in our own backyards. This fight has to happen for the sake of Boxing Australia.

The fight creates interest beyond what your average Mundine Bum bashing session does. The interest created already without Mundine even returning fire has been massive, it was all over the radio the next day and tv. Give the public something to get excited about! The rematch between these guys should have been within 18 months of last time for christ sakes!

The racist bullshit people are talking about is rubbish. Greens offer is only a racist gesture because the uneducated have said it is. Any money invested in the indigenous youth of Australia should be applauded but at the same time... Green only came out of retirement for Mundine who challenged him. So how about looking at the bigger picture before shooting shit out of your mouths? lol

Green 8th round ko. Mundine to disappear forever.

I'd still prefer to see Mundine fight for a middleweight title, it has taken him many months and fights to drain to that weight. If he went to LH it would have been all a waste of time. Mundine should have enough money now and should be fighting for pride, hence a title.

As for the whole race thing, I agree with Ben k (im part aboriginal) Willem going way over the top. Besides this is a boxing forum, not a political one

So I believe Munidne has knocked back danny's challenge "for now". Weak as piss I say, but on the other hand I am happy as I think it was a step backwards for danny. lets hope GMP have a plan B and get Dawson, Johnson or Tarver out here (they wont get Huck out of Germany). Mundine listen to what the public are saying because it is fact.
