Baker was goddamn awful. Tried to pace himself so he didn't gas after two, but it didn't do him any good as it allowed Chis to hit him as he pleased.

Chisora looked fairly decent (albeit against a poor opponant) slipped shots nicely and landed some good shots. Baker however started slow and didnt speed up he didnt look that up for it. Good result for Chisora though hopefully Williams or McDermott will fight him next so he can learn a bit more than he did last night

chisora was always going to be the fave and rightly so. he showed why he outclassed a tentitive opponant who seemed to know he was just and oppoanant

i dont know why people have been knocking Chisora's boxing skills because he can punch and he can put shots together. yes he's a first class plonker but decent fighter and could be a real player on our domestic scene.

i'll be honest with you if chisora v williams would have been on this weekend, i would have cheered chisora.

Baker was very negative and looked spent 2 mins into the second round. Baker protested the stoppage but didnt show enough in the fight - very disappointing performance from him to say it was a final eliminator for the British crown.

Chisora looked good. He must be No 1 on the domestic scene now, presuming he has some sort of chin?..

good performance by chisora but what were we expecting, baker took it on 11 days notice so his conditioning was worse than normal he was never going to cause chisora problems id like to see a rematch with sexton or him to fight fury

The only way Baker was going to do anything was to have a proper go - he didn't and paid for it. The most active he was all night was complaining about the stoppage. If you're in trouble and can't be arsed to fight back, you get what you deserve.

The thing is, I like Big Carl which is why I was annoyed - the lad has talent.

Baker has only really got himself too blame, its was always going to be stopped when Chisora jumped on him as he is so woefully out of shape. The fridge was breathing very heavily after the first, and by the second round he looked like a mild breeze might knock him down, wobbling and searching for Chisora's smaller frame to grab hold of each time a shot came in. Carl seems a nice guy but unless he can sort his fitness out, I really hope he's never on a show I watch again.

I'm certainly not a big fan of Chisora but he did as much as he could have given the quality of the opposition. He seemed to be a little contrite in the post-fight interview saying there wouldnt be any repeat of the kissing incident in future. Having said that, when pressed about the kiss he went back to his favourite "these things happen in boxing".

Didnt they say baker was on holiday with his family in Australia 2 weeks ago. Now im not judging the guy, but I'll bet he wasnt one for a 6am beach run and eating just greens when he was over there. He will have been cahsing in on prizefighter and having everything to excess. To bring a guy liek him in for Chisora, who was training for a breakthrough fight was always going to have one result.

Cant imagine baker doing ten rounds even in tip top condition.

The problem baker is he has no stamina so he saved his energy in the first rounds but then didnt manage to make it past the first couple of rounds. If it had been a 3 round fight it would have been a good ruck.

We saw baker smash up williams in prize fighter in 3 rounds but by the end of the 3rd round it looked like if it went one more round williams would knock baker out.

Chisora looked pretty good though, he would easily walk a britsh title i think he'll make it onto the world stage, doubt he'll be a world champion but he could make it into the top ten.

He needs to be kept busy, a fight against Williams for the British title would make sense, but would Warren want to give Danny the payday after he pulled out of the fight last week?
Another obvious one would be with Sexton, who is much improved since there first meeting, and it would be easy to promote.
I don't think Tyson Fury is going to happen, Fury seems set on trying his luck in the US for a few months.


At age 26 there isn't the need to chuck him in too deep yet, he needs some more learning fights.

Ben spoke to him recently; the big man changes his phone number more often than a crack dealer so I'm out of the loop at the moment. Seem to remember Ben saying he's getting there after elbow surgery or something.
