Well done Jono Baguley
Well done Jono Baguley
Just thought would post a thread to congratulate the hard working Rotherham fighter on a well-deserved win. Underestimate him at your peril - he's hard as nails and can bang a bit.
No disrespect to Vinny Mitchell at all and I wish him well for the future but delighted to see this very honest and capable 'opponent' getting a great result that should keep him getting good fights. Anyone that beats him has got to be pretty decent!
Shows you that Liam Walsh stopping him was a very good resut for Walsh. I wonder if he just took Razak lightly last night coz he looked good against Jono but very ordinary last night

walsh loaded up too much last night, he was trying to please the cameras a lot more than his trainer..danfoster wrote:Just thought would post a thread to congratulate the hard working Rotherham fighter on a well-deserved win. Underestimate him at your peril - he's hard as nails and can bang a bit.

well done to john seen him a few times all ways gives it his best
Re: Well done Jono Baguley
well done baguley. I remember when he thought john watson.. Made it little tricky for watson but watson took every round easy.. Baguleys still very young and can cause alot of upsets!!
Re: Well done Jono Baguley
Me too ian. Got a very tough job done early. Yeah, he loaded up, but because he knew he could and he wanted Sid out early.Ian 'Mr' McNeilly wrote:

Re: Well done Jono Baguley
just shows that we have a lot of very tough capable journeymen operating in this country and is great for the sport.
hope mitchell comes back aswell

On a slightly different note, it does say a lot about the generally uncompetative nature of the sport (especially undercards) that when a "home" fighter is beaten, it's a notable event!!

Baguley had a cold when he boxed Walsh, he was not hurt. That's the only time he's been stopped.danfoster wrote:Just thought would post a thread to congratulate the hard working Rotherham fighter on a well-deserved win. Underestimate him at your peril - he's hard as nails and can bang a bit.

Does stopping someone your not supposed to, harm your income potential ?
Re: Well done Jono Baguley
Unfortunaly, that may well be the case.G0mez wrote:Does stopping someone your not supposed to, harm your income potential ?

Re: Well done Jono Baguley
I doubt it will.Anyone who has watched Vinny knew it was just a matter of time before someone beat him. Also, the really good kids beat Baguley, and they can now say something along the lines of "he's a dangerman who snapped the unbeaten record of Kevin Mitchell's brother".Works out well all round, really.whicker wrote:Unfortunaly, that may well be the case.G0mez wrote:Does stopping someone your not supposed to, harm your income potential ?
Re: Well done Jono Baguley
Is Jono still the Central area lightweight champ, if so is he due a defence ? Remember reading he won it ages ago.

Great to see fighters lik jono gettin the win they usually need the ko to get a fair decision from the ref's!
