What a thrill to see the record of my late uncle-by-marriage, Paul Negri, listed! However, he began boxing in 1926, earlier than shown.
I have a great old photo of him with his trainer. They don't make them like that anymore!
Paul Negri--SF Fighter, 1930's
If you wish to share that photo with me or another Editor, we could add it to his Wiki profile--depending on its quality. (There is one in his profile already:http://www.boxrec.com/media/index.php?t ... gri:109905)
And if you have other documented bouts, we can add those as well. We also could use his date/place of birth, date, height, reach (in inches), manager's and trainer's names, and any other biographical information you have.

Paul Negri--information
Hello,
Paul (my late uncle-by-marriage) was born in San Francisco on Nov 22, 1908 and died Oct 4, 1993. We always suspected he'd shaved a few years off his age but that is his 'official' birthdate. He began boxing in 1926 and was a member of the Northern CA Boxing Association. He was very active in their events, dinners, etc. up until his death in 1993.
I have some old photos of Paul in the ring and with his trainer though his opponent and the trainer are not identified by name. I will scan them & email to you. I can probably obtain a few more from my aunt.
I was told repeatedly by various boxing oldtimers that Paul's record was 80 fights, one loss (TKO) but do not have any type of verifying documentation in support of that claim. One of Paul's closest lifelong friends was SF boxer Joe Roche.
Paul's brothers were also boxers. Frank Negri fought under the name Frankie Thomas; another brother, 'Dummy' Thomas (deaf mute) and another brother, Rocco Negri.
Rocco Negri was killed in the ring during a New York City fight in 1940. I don't know who Rocco was fighting, but Paul said he accompanied the body back to California for burial in the Italian Cemetery, Colma, CA.

So far, there appears to be no record for Rocco, but I've created a Wiki bio anyway:
http://www.boxrec.com/media/index.php?title=Rocco_Negri
There was also a Pete Negri, for whom we have one 1930 Bay Area bout. http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=181814
Any relation?
Anything more you have to share will be welcome.
