Good news, I was devastated when Kat/Marquez fell through but this is a deserving rematch. I thought it was a fair call to Diaz last time but think Mike will take it this time, he's just getting better. Hopefully a good showing will see Kat get his shot at JMM. Diaz had his shot, Mike's turn now.

Why is it for the interim title ?? It should be for the title, not interim.
Go kat.

I was under the impression if Marquez didnt take the fight with Kat that he would be stripped of the title and katsidis would either be awarded the title or fight for it with the number 2 challenger...
On another note, can all email Main event and put pressure on them to telecast this event. If it clashes with a bloody UFC event we probably wont get it, but if it doesnt and there is enough pressure, you never know.

hmmm....

Good fight for both fighters at this moment in time.

It will be a good fight to see how far Katsidis has come from they're last bout, despite the split decision i thought Juan won the last fight pretty convincingly. I think Katsidis will come in with a better gameplan this time, he looked good against Chavez & Escobedo. A solid 50/50 fight this one.

Good to see he's keeping active and pushing himself despite being unable to land Marquez.

Katsidis has done better than Diaz since the first fight. Diaz has lost two of his last three fights, one loss being by KO.

I thought WBO would only strip JMM if he fought, say, Hatton or Khan for 140 lb honours. My assumption at this stage is WBO wont strip Marquez just yet but will mandate him to fight winner of Kat/Diaz before the year's out..?

Diaz would have walked though Kat's last three opponents in similar fashion to what Micheal did.

Momentum is key, Katsidis has just beaten 3 blokes convincingly 2 of which weren't bad fighters, while Diaz has technically lost his last 3.

I would say this is the best time for Rocky to square the ledger and i think he will.

I dont no whay this fight had to happen, Its not like Katsidis had options - I mean he backed out of a Edwin Valero fight for a rematch with Diaz.
If he does want to fight the best and not turn into a Mundine then Valero would be the better choice. To late now i guess, the fight has be signed.

It was probably right after Green turned down Hopkins.

Diaz clearly won the first fight despite the odd scorecards. At his best he would be to much for Katsidis, but he might be on the slide (although Katsidis would have struggled against the like of JMM and Malinaggi as well) and if he is I like Katsidis chances.
while Diaz has technically lost his last 3
For what its worth I thought Diaz beat Malingaggi the first time around and the outrage was blown out of porportion due to the 118-110 card.

Katsidis was never signed to fight Valero. It was just a fight a lot of people would like to see.

katsidis would fight king kong if it meant winning the title.

if he is fair dinkum and he did break his hand in round 2 then i would expect katsidis to win a rematch.
