Khan back on track.

Amir Khan put his bid for senior ABA Championships glory firmly back on track at the Liverpool Olympia tonight as he blasted past Steve Williams inside three rounds.

The Olympic silver medalist showed the full variety of his arsenal on the way to an emphatic 23-3 points victory in the North West Counties final - secured when the referee stopped the contest with Merseysider Williams outclassed.

I read the BBC one last night this whole incodence show that he needs to remain ametur to me as it shows he has to improve some areas of his game and he can't afford such slip ups in the pro's lets hope he stays ametur till the commonwealf games and turn pro on a high

Not yet no. I think it's clear he needs to tighten up a bit. Might as well wait until after the world championships. Don't see the need to stay on until the olympics.

Definetly , but only if he gets the right signing on money, if he gets a smart manager who is gonna insist on good money it could be made worhwhile, a smart manager will point out his age , the fact that he will still be young at the next olympics, and the fact that sponsorships and endorsements will make him millions if he wins Gold at the olympics. And if he wins Gold even the yanks wil be chasing him

But then again a smart manager will also relize boxing is very fickle and your only has good has your last fight. If he don't do well in the world championships his stock will go down, If he gets beat on the homefront which is always only one punch away , then his value goes down more.

So all in all screw em for the best deal in British boxing history and go for it , after all he can always have Frank , put a clause in the contract that he fights someone decent within 40 fights

Theres too many fighters who only came away with headaches , so grab the cash when ya can.

Just think in 6-7 years we can all be pounding the keyboards demanding he face someone who hits back, but at least he'll be rich .
