I'm curious how much people make use of this site or participate in updating it.
As a fan who mostly follows the pros, I check boxing-scoop almost every time I hear of an amateur fighter for the first time. Are there any other databases for amateurs that I should be aware of?

That is one of the better ones, but only lists some of the boxers and some of their bouts. USA Boxing.org has some info on some boxers. AIBA.org does if they boxed internationally. For overseas boxers their home federations often have info about their past results at least for major tournaments.
http://amateur-boxing.strefa.pl/ is a great resource for past results, but it is difficult to search by boxer's name. I can search my son's name and it pulls up 1 record and yet if I search the records individually, I can find his name in over a dozen records for various competitions/tournaments.

I like boxing-scoop so far because it offers room to grow - the more information people contribute to it, the bigger and more comprehensive it'll get. I just wish that people were more diligent about submitting bouts and cards.
