Whats the best show you've been to?

Post by Wales »

As a follow up to the worst show thread, whats the best one you've attended for whatever reason.

I had the pleasure and luck of being ringside for Moore Macklin. Say no more.

Mayweather hatton was a terrible atmosphere.......loads of idiotic, pissed up football fans booing the US national anthem ruined that particular night for me. It was simply awful.

Best I have been to has to be Hatton/Tszyu. To be honest, any crowd at York Hall gets your juices flowing, especially when you have a local fighter on the card.

For atmosphear and fight Moroe Macklin takes it.

For occassion I thoguht Hatton mayweather was superb. First time in vegas too. Did the booing of the anthem actually ruin the night for you? really?

Hatton Vs Kostya was the best main event I've seen and best atmosphere, but the undercard was shite.

I was ringside for the Calzaghe-Mitchell & Enzo Mac Vs Bruce Scott show in Cardiff, excellent night!

Too true - the undercard WAS shite. I was excited when FW announced that he had signed Povetkin and that the Olympic champ would turn pro on the undercard, but it turned out he spoke too soon and Povetkin went to Germany instead.

...had we not sat in the bar for most of the card!

For me, Cotto Margarito was a surpisingly good card and had one of the best fights I've ever seen.

It was unforgettable, really hard to describe it to somone who wasn't there. Everyone was on a high before the boxing even started as Ireland had just won the 6 Nations a few hours previous. Even the atmosphere for Katie Taylor against the American girl was electric.

This, the undercard fights that were not televised were ok but when the televised portion of the fight came it was completely different, the crowd was really loud and electric. After the 5th round the crowd started shouting "Get away from the ropes" to Dunne and when he stopped Cordoba the place went mental. Great night and worth every penny.
