With the clout of Oscar De La Hoya and his Golden Boy Promotions behind him, the future is looking good.

This is fantastic news!

Witter has hit the big time... and HOW!!!

I wonder what Mr. Hatton thinks now? he has been exposed as a pussy because now we all know EXACTLY why he ducked Witter. Junior has De La Hoya behind him and a fight with Gatti would be sensational. He is CLEARLY the best LW in Britain. I believe N'dou would KO Hatton late but Witter dealt with hi in style and learnt an awful lot fro going the 12 rounds.

one of the best boxing nights I've had!

Couldn't help thinking during those early rounds when Witter was pissing all over N'Dou, what it would be like if it was Hatton he had been facing. There's a high chance he would have KO'd Hatton, but also, Hatton - if he had lasted through the first half - may have KO'd Witter late, given how Witter gassed himself so badly.

The thing is though, it was almost inevitable he would gas just about where he did. Look at his record, he's not been past six since the Zab Judah fight! A couple more 12 rounders, and if he shows he can keep his power in the later rounds, he's ready to be competitive with any in the division, in my view.

Still hate the showboating, hands-down style, though. Was hilarious when he fell flat on his face at the close.

Great news, would like to see FW pull something like that off, it is also encoraging that DLH has undergone to show Froch on his cards too. It is amaisig how much this chainge of promoter has done for Witters Career and one can't help but feel that ODLH knows his stuff.

Dose anyone think that jumping strate into Gatti may be a bit too quick I wouldn't mind seeing him fight Bronco first.

Ndou and Hatton are like chalk and cheese. N'dou is a leaden footed plodder who comes in straight lines throwing long straight head shots and overarm shots. Hatton comes in low changing the angle constantly and has much quicker hands and feet and an electric pace.

Jr will always tire if he loads up with huge shots like that, because he swings wildly sometimes and that is very tiring. He has a chance to hurt hatton early, but past the first four rounds, I would give Hatton an excellent chance of stopping him. Witter looked disorganised in retreat on several occasions, getting tagged with hooks whilst walking around the ring. I don't think Witter is that great off the back foot, and he leaves himself wide open when he is punching, more so than Hatton in my opinion.

I'd like to see the fight, but even after that performance, i would favour Hatton to win.

Well done Junior Witter - he upped his level of competition, went on the road and got an excellent result against a tough opponent - if not top 10 then definitely top 15. And if he did fracture his hand that might explain why he didnt finish the job and faded in the middle stretch.

It would be interesting to see him in with Gatti and I don't think Gatti would be avoiding him after last night. Witter will definitely need to tighten his defence and do more orthodox work behind the jab. Stamina looked a bit of an issue but training can handle that. On the plus side, he proved his power is for real at the top level but he went a bit glory hunting at time rather than keeping the pressure on with solid work.

The main concern has to be his ability to adapt his tactics and stay dominant if he doesnt blow his opponent out of there. Brendan Ingle was in another world last night. While Mcracken did a great job in the corner of advising Eastman - advice Eastman wasn't able to implement - Ingle was spouting some of the most bizarre stuff I've heard in ages including one rest period where Ingle was silent for most of the minute after calling for a deep breath then just started shouting "Ali vs Foreman, Ali vs Foreman, this is Ali v Foreman!!!"

As Peter Kay would say "What wasallthat about?????"

I think Ingle is a great traner but I am starting to feel that Witter would do well to go to a more orthadox trainer at this stage in his career where he can learn some of the things Ingle leaves out just to give him a more rounded style which can revert to just to vary his aquid switch hitting stuff.

I see what you are saying, but do you think Witter can change his style much at this stage of his career? It didn't do his former stablemate Naseem Hamed much good.

It certainly didn't do Hamed much good - but he did replace Brendan with probably the most spectacularly bad trainer in the world today.

Didn't he replace him with emmanual Stewart, I don't think he should chainge his style because it is effective but I do think he should learn to vary it to add another dimension to his game

At time fantastic, at times too easy too hit, at the start full of power, in the middle empty of gas, at the end full of guts and determination.

Forty percent power, twenty percent speed, fifteen percent trickery, fifteen percent ridiculous posing.

Its been a long time since I saw a fighter end the fight throwing a haymaker so big he falls flat on his face as the final bell goes.

To be fair its the first time I've seen someone get out of that absurd position by a forward somersault back onto his feet.

Manny never undersells himself - literally or metaphorically. Mind you, he probably got about the same as the most imporant man in the camp: Hamed's hairdresser.

Any idea who you would have hypotheticaly I would go for one of those trainers who just amends peoples natural style to tighten it up. (Gordan Jones the guy who tought me to punch was one of those at a lower level).

Very good in spurts, apparently excellent early on, but in the middle rounds he looked fagged out, and he was lucky he didn't get chinned because he left his chin out to dry. He looked very arm weary between 7-9, but rallies and had to dig deep. The massive left hook he landed in the 10th turned the fight because N'dou stopped rushing in after that. Were it not for the two knockdowns, the fight would have been a majority draw.

The jitterbugging he did in the 12th did him no favours with the crowd, he would have been better just boxing off the jab and closing the show in real style.

I thought he had N'Dou ready to quit in the 11th, I think he would have got him had he loaded up and landed some of those great haymakers he throws. Very impressive one punch power, who else can drop guys with single shots like that, his punches look like rockets sometimes. I saw Oscars face light up in the backround when Witter landed that big left in the 10th and was wondering will Oscar sign him up.

That left hook in the 10th round was a beauty and would have dropped and possibly finished a lot of guys. N'dou has a terrific chin.

One thing which was evident though, is that Witter didn't use his variety of shots to open up Ndou when he hurt him, that's one thing he needs to add to his repetoire.

James, I personally thought it was due to tiredness in the 10th. I might be on my own, but I scored that round to N'dou. I think N'dou won about 2:15 of that round.

Interesting fight, i don't think the 12 rounds will do Witter any harm at all, i missed the first 3 rounds as i think Setanta might have been running late or something (my tape didnt kick in till the beginning of round 4). Anyway Witter's defence was poor, he was too easy to hit and a bigger puncher would have had him in trouble, once he dropped N'dou twice he loaded up too much and tired noticably through the middle rounds, by then a combination of fatigue and N'dou probably warming to the punches (similar to how Marquez did versus Pacquiao) it got interesting. N'ou is very one dimensional and caught Witter square on a few times which was a concern.

Witter seemed to get a second wind late on and the uppercut he landed in round 10 was peach, N'dou seemed to have had all the fight knocked out of him by then and Witter did some ridiculous showboating in the final round...however all in all a good performance and hopefully Witter can remain at this level and challenge for a meaningful world title soon.

I just got £3.75 off the PPV charge for them missing the first minute of the bout. However, don't expect them to be willing to accomodate - my Mother was on the phone for about 20 minutes before the gave in to that much.

However, we only complained about the show missing the opening round (opening minute) - If you say that the bill started before the scheduled start time they might be more willing to accomodate.
