New Belt up for grabs!!

Post by allworld80 »

Because of the increase in human controlled fighters (totaling 40 in all now), we've decided to put another title into play. The LBC strap will be fought and contested for by fighters with losing records.

I will nominate 4 fighters to begin eliminators on the next card.

The LBC?

Would I be right in assuming this stands for Losers Boxing Championship?

But, it is a good idea, it keeps those who have had bad starts and bad form a chance to keep interested in the game, as there is something in it for them...

Might I add a rule for the LBC?

If a boxer has a 2-10 record... And he wins the LBC...
The champion can only hold the title while he has a negative record:
(in other words, more losses than wins). :TU:

If he improves his record (against other "Losers" as it were to 10-10) then he is awarded the title,
(like the Lonsdale belt is awarded)
And he must vacate the belt, to move on to bigger and better things, as now he cannot be branded a loser so easily. :TU:

So once he hits 10-10 he has to vacate the title. I like it.

He should then become mandatory for WBU at that point.

I'm not sure if this will work actually. Not as many fighters as I thought with losing records.

Any ideas for another belt?

Howabout a "Prizefighter Tournament" Commish. :TU:

Make it in the same format as the Harry Greb Charity tournament.

First off, only 16 boxers enter... Straight knockout competition. :TU:

No-one inside the top 10 can enter... Or they would be the heavy favourites and dominate quite easily.

And the winner of Prizefighter will then be awarded a title elimator bout with the no 1 through to no 5 contender for ANY of the titles. :TU:

It's better than having 7/8 belts about... Which dilutes the rarity of the achievement. :TU:

Sav, keep your titles, defend them... You have earned that right.

Do you think Carl Froch would give up the titles if he won them...

Am I sencing some apprehension at a mandatory title defence coming uop against RJJ in week 19. :box:

Commish, keep the WBU for opponents ranked 15-25, and the LBC for opponents ranked over 25.

There seems to ne a lot of hype surrounding this Fox vs Rosenbloom fight.

How long has Rosenbloom been calling the champ out?

It seems to me that the majority here can't agree on the details of a new belt. :shame:
I think the idea should be scrapped. :shame:
