Crunchtime at Lunchtime - Wolverhampton Civic Hall PPV
Firstly apologies if you've read this before but just thought I'd give it another heads up
On the 14th March 1st Team promotions are putting on a bumper 14 fight Sunday afternoon card headlined by local favourite (and ex British title challenger) Dean Harrison challenging Ben Lawler for his Midland Area light-welterweight, and also includes a black country derby for the British Masters welterweight title between Rob Doody and Martin Gordan. Also up coming local fighters Rob Hunt, Nasser Al Harbi, Jamie Ball (recently came second to Frankie Gavin in young Midland fighter of the year), Rich Ghent, Ben Wilkes, Alex Strutt.
The shows expected to be about 4 hours long and for those of you who aren't local you can watch it for £2.99 on Hatton promotions website - well worth a look imo give you a chance to have a look at some of 1st Teams bright young stars (over 50 lads in the stable now).
For more info have a look at www.brandhatton.com and look under pay-per-view.
Beats watching Eastenders omnibus.

wasn't too happy to see Martin Gordon on the card. I haven't seen him look like he actually wants to be in a ring for years now.

Lol true, have heard he's booked his ideas up a bit recently though since he's been with Cooper - apparently the first fight with Doody was a good little scrap.

His pro career has been a disappointment up to now hasnt it? He was Captain of Lions ABC as an am but he has struggled to get a win since handing in his vest.Counter-puncher wrote:wasn't too happy to see Martin Gordon on the card. Cracking card - might try and get over there for it myself.
Failing that, its an absolute bargain on the internet

Looks like one I will try to attend as well.
Interested in how Jamie Ball's career develops, as he was in the year above me at school, good lad. Also Ghenty looks like he's going to go places. Does anyone know when Bully is gonna step up a bit? In terms of opponents? I know he's only had about 8 fights and he's done well but would like to see him step up a bit in 2010.

I know Bully was fighting with a knee injury for his last 2 or 3 fights, dunno if he's had surgery on it yet so hopefully he might step it up a bit later this year, quite impressed with him and Ghenty myself aswell, good to see how they develop.DK2112 wrote:Looks like one I will try to attend as well.

Tough one this unlikely I will be able to watch as its the same day as Matvienko in Bolton which i really fancy. Why when I fancy some boxing does it always clash!!!
