Was I right in hearing after Junior Witter's win, the announcer saying Witter is still the "Commonwealth world champion!?"
What the hell is that all about!?
Is he uneducated, an idiot, or am I wrong?

he did say it, I don't think the Americans know what a Commonwealth is anyway. I see they wheeled out Buffer for the main event.

Buffer has to be the most sun tanned person with the whitest teeth I have ever seen! And that hair...

Buffer's hair is a mystery in itself...one week he had dark hair and the next fight he was grey all over, spooky

He also announced Jermain Taylor as the WBC Intercontinental champion (he's the Continental Americas champion). It was just an off night for Buffer -- has nothing to do with being American.

I bet about 90% of Americans have no idea what the Commonwealth is. In fact I'm willing to bet a lot of Brits dont have a clue either.
