question for everyone, out of that lot, who do we see Jamie Moore taking on in his first fight at 160?
an easy comeback, or straight in to fight someone beatable like Asikainen?

As long as he stears well clear of Golovkin I think he will be fine.Counter-puncher wrote:question for everyone, out of that lot, who do we see Jamie Moore taking on in his first fight at 160?

That Kazakh is a straight up killer.
The Fin's stock will have plummeted since Macklin bashed him in the first.
Would like to see Jaime box Andy Lee for the Irish middleweight title (if Macklin would vacate).
Re: Macklin next fight?
Easy one on the undercard of David haye imo. The in for a tough one afetr that... just my opinion though...
Sure Steve said there'd be news on Jamie this week ...

i would like to see Jamie move pretty quickly, if he is having a tune-up, get it in and get on with making his name in the middleweight divTerribleTerry wrote:As long as he stears well clear of Golovkin I think he will be fine.Counter-puncher wrote:question for everyone, out of that lot, who do we see Jamie Moore taking on in his first fight at 160?

Re: Macklin next fight?
Moore vs Macklin 2 seems to be a logical fight - maybe not now but in the near future. If Ricky can get this as a WBC eliminator or something - then what a fight.
Re: Macklin next fight?
They once had a gentlemans agreement that whoever won the euro title would give the other a voluntry shot at it... or so I remember reading / hearing somewhere.
Re: Macklin next fight?
jamie told me at one of gomez fight at altrincham about 10 months after the macklin fight that he would meet macklin again at middle he was pretty confident he would,

Re: Macklin next fight?
I would put him in with Oral for the Euro title, his last few fights he has looked really poor but is still ranked highly. Macklin would beat him handily imo
Re: Macklin next fight?
The Irish Middleweight title is now held by Gary O'Sullivan and Jim Rock held it before him.TerribleTerry wrote:As long as he stears well clear of Golovkin I think he will be fine.Counter-puncher wrote:question for everyone, out of that lot, who do we see Jamie Moore taking on in his first fight at 160?

I doubt 'Spike' would take too much convincing to vacate the title, he's a natural Light-Middleweight anyway.

Very true mate - totally forgot about how that title has changed hands in recent times..BigEars wrote:The Irish Middleweight title is now held by Gary O'Sullivan and Jim Rock held it before him.TerribleTerry wrote:As long as he stears well clear of Golovkin I think he will be fine.Counter-puncher wrote:question for everyone, out of that lot, who do we see Jamie Moore taking on in his first fight at 160?

Still, a Moore - Lee fight would be a cracker and I am sure would sell well.

Why does Barker get a shot first. To be honest, I am pretty sick of hearing about about Barker - hype job!!MrBoxingUK2 wrote:barker should get a crack before andy lee and jamie moore. go on macklin just fight barker!!TerribleTerry wrote:As long as he stears well clear of Golovkin I think he will be fine.Counter-puncher wrote:question for everyone, out of that lot, who do we see Jamie Moore taking on in his first fight at 160?

Re: Macklin next fight?
maybe because he quite highly ranked in the ebu ratings i think, he is british and commonwealth champion. he deserves a shot before mooresy. and also andy lee because andy lee got whooped by a very very ordinary fightersligobhoy67 wrote:Why does Barker get a shot first. Re: Macklin next fight?
he seems a top bloke aswell. if he was in warren or maloneys stable i feel he would be nearly fighting at world level, but i fear hennessy is holding him back.Bomber 1 wrote:I think darren Barke deserves a chance to be fair!!
