Perfect fight for Groves. Well matched. He must be 1/10 to win this. Good luck to him.

He's a tough chap is Adamu and the type of fighter that if you're off your game, will take advantage.

However, I like the variety Groves has shown. Dave Coldwell says he's perhaps the best he's worked with, certainly in terms of acting on advice.

To be fair, given that Adamu beat Dilks (or was it a draw?) this fight is, on paper, a better match up.

Quite a good one to watch.

Really like Groves, got most if not all of the tools he needs to succeed at the top level and he can only get better.

One query, whats his chin like, seem to remember reading someone saying he was stopped as an amateur, is that true, was it a proper stoppage, hoping there is no problem as I really like this kid, think he beats Degale as well to be honest.

to fight someone who went the distance with froch at this stage of his career shows groves intentions to get to title level as soon as he can,he ll gain a lot of valuable experienece and probably a fair few testing rounds under his belt

I think groves will beat adamu but dnt hink he will stop him. Don't get me wrong I hope he does but when I boxed he hadn't boxed for 18 months so I hink this time around I think we will see a different adamu and he will certainly test his chin coz he hits like a mule. But again hope he wins an does the right thing an let's me fight him first after the way they ave treated me over this show :TU: :box:

Should Groves win, I think you'd be a natural first defence mate. Hope you get a crack at the winner, it's only fair!!

This could be a case of too much too soon for Groves. Adamu is a tough nut and a solid puncher. Not many people would stop him and I remember seeing Groves on the Haye undercard in Germany throwing bombs all night and they just bounced off his opponents mush.

I can see Adamu ghiving him a real roughousing and it would not suprise me if he stopped Groves late on. Hope not, I think Groves has plenty talnt, but it could be a little early for him to take on Adamu.

groves is classy, personally i dont think adamu beat dilks for the belt and if only dilks was a little bit more easy on the eye then he would have won the right.

adamu is tough, brilliant chin but not an awful lot of talent and if groves just avoids some of his big swining shots in the end, he should completley outbox him and take a comfortable ud or late stoppage even, but that would be tough and a big result for the saint if he could stop him.

Ambitious matchmaking, but I get the feeling they're moving Groves a bit too fast here ( like they did with Haye ).
What's the mad rush? To build up the Haye PPV figures I'd guess.

Adamu is leagues above anyone Groves has met so far, a real battle hardened fighter who's been mixing in world class company for a few years now.
And George hasn't met anyone remotely approaching this level - Samuels is the closest, but he's chinny and that could be a misleading result: We know George punches hard, but that may not come into it much against Adamu.

Maybe he wins, but then he's suddenly catapulted into near top level, with only a handful of fights behind him. Looks a very risky one.

read the question i was asked bigdaddy and you will see that i was asked hasn't groves been stopped in the am's? nothing to do with getting beat on points, doesn't matter tho as groves would smash him in th paid ranks i believe :D

i wouldn't say samuels is chinny after the shots he took of renda  they went to war and paul took some huge shots and battled through it

Agree with mighty warrior, adamu may not be a
great fighter but his stamina and durability are, if
groves runs out of puff in the last 3 to 4 rounds
he will get stopped.
It seems to me they are rushing him too quickly
as if to get the drop on degale, and once he's at the
12 round level he will have to stay at that level.
Having said all this, i'm a big fan of groves.

I would rather big prospects be matched this way.
I would say groves has learnt next to nothing from his last couple of fights so why continue fighting knock over jobs when he's clearly a level above them.
Groves was a world class amateur and has fought better than adamu before albeit in a vest and headguard and to be honest I thought against dilks adamu looked a shadow of the man that fought carl froch 5 years ago.

He looked wild and was just throwing lunging hooks.I felt sorry for dilks that night he controlled the majority of the fight with his jab and was on the wrong end of a bad decision imo.
