Froch to defend WBC Super Middleweight title against Kessler
Saturday, April 24.


ENGLAND (Feb. 23, 2010)–-WBC Champion Carl “the Cobra” Froch of Nottingham England, will defend his title against the “Viking Warrior” Mikkel Kessler of Denmark in the Super Six World Boxing Classic in one-half of a tournament doubleheader on Saturday, April 24 at the MCH Messecenter in Herning, Denmark.

”The ticket sales for Mikkel Kessler's fight against Carl Froch has been impressive. Fans from all over Denmark and also the UK will descend on Herning to support the two amazing world-class fighters on April 24. We look forward to welcoming the Froch Army in Herning, and I am convinced there will be a fantastic atmosphere here in MCH for the Super Six-clash” says CEO, Georg Soerensen, MCH Messecenter Herning.

Mick Hennessy added ”This is a fantastic event and tickets are selling very quickly and I advise any British fight fan who is looking to be in Herning on the 24th April to support the Cobra please purchase tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappoint before it becomes a sell out”

Tickets for the WBC & Super Six Group Stage 2 fight between two great warriors in Froch and Kessler went on sale yesterday in the UK via Ticketline.co.uk, for tickets call the box office on 0844 888 4402 or these can be purchased via http://www.ticketline.co.uk or http://www.hennessysports.com.

Alternatively UK Boxing fans can purchase tickets from the BILLETnet.dk website at http://www.billetnet.dk or by calling the box office on +45 7033 1333.

It will sell out, but there will not be many Brits there. Such a pain in the arse place to get to, with no nightlife to speak of.

Copenhagen would have been miles better for the UK fans and Hennessy knows it.

He blames Jermaine Taylor. To be fair, if he wins the next two fights he should end up qualifying. Remember the top 4 go in to the semis. Plus he'd win Ward's WBA world title with a win so there's not much for him to lose by joining the tournament.
