I was talking to Kenny Anderson, a man known for his sparing praise of other fighters, last night and he said the hype about Yassine is true and that if Yassine was a SMW he wouldnt like to fight him.

Also he begged to get into the Prizefighter but other fighters pulled out when they heard his name and then he wasnt choosen! :TU:

I've only seen him against Soitko who is a journeyman but the force with which he wa slanding made me wince on more than one occasion

Now if his fighting against somebody who doesnt offer such a target does he have the skills to work them out

Will soon find out

With all due respect I am not offering the money on condition Sky film it.

Of course the obvious excuse that it has to be on a Hatton bill. Of course I am not going to put the money up on a Hatton bill!

To be fair your post is all that is wrong with Boxing.

You are criticising us, saying Sky doesnt want it and telling us who should promote it!
It may be but this is Boxing now and we have very little TV when it comes to things and TV talks.

Credit has to go to you for starting up but my point is Yassine will go nowhere fast boxing on your shows.
How can you say Yassine will go nowhere on Steves shows Yassine hasnt exactly been active and no other promoter has given him regular fights
If Steve is prepared to do this on small hall shows fair play He is putting his money where his mouth is.
To offer Small 50k Small wouldnt get that for a british title defence and after that terrible fight with Mcdonaugh he aint worth 50k
Fair play to Steve its a big risk to put that sort of money up But at least everyone talking about it
Whether Yassine is a top level fighter or not time will tell But dont slag a guy off for trying to get him the bigger fights Without TV backing
But the ball is in Small's court and where is Yassine going to go on these type of bills? It's all very well and good stumping the money up but making someone else take it is something else.

I,m sure Smalls manager would rather he fight Yassine for 50k than have a fight for less than half of that

For me, that's a better spectacle than El Maachi - Small.

ye i totally agree about that, hall is come forward, very aggresive and he's not scared of anyone. small picks fights that he can win for the BELTS and not the CASH! Hall comes to fight but I think the board have announce he's got an English title fight coming up against someone who I cant remember.

The £50,000 is for Anthony Small (he is the British Champion) £15,000 for everyone else. This is providing it is on a Goodwin Promotions show.

Small would not receive that money fighting for the British title. Maybe he thinks he wont win and get the cash!

To say that Yassine would be going no where on my shows is ludicrous. Last year he fought on TV and they fed him Drew Campbell and Alex Spitko. Those fights were taking him no where.

I am happy that the majority of people on here are backing what i am trying to do.

It is unbelievable that someone is so narrow minded to keep criticising us before we have started.

PS There could be some exciting title shot news coming out for Yassine soon. Am in the middle of negotiating!

I can confirm I have received NO FIRM ACCEPTANCES from any fighter worldwide. Have had enquiries only!

Update for Yassine. He is waiting for confirmation of an ABU title contest abroad which has been postponed three times. His next UK appearance will be 4th December. May have to be a foreign opponent with a decent ranking if a UK boxer does not come forward. Yassine will fight anyone. Any UK boxer please let us know if you are interested.

You heard totally wrong. Whilst Enzo Calzaghe was Bradleys manager the fight was agreed. However Bradley left Enzo for Gary Lockett and Gary turned the fight down. Yassine would fight Bradley in a heartbeat but Bradley is looking in other directions now.

Hello Steve
Joe Rea will fight him. Joe is on my show 19th Nov 8x3 v TBA. I've emailed Bruce and waiting for him to get back to me, hope to make it an eliminator for Yassine's title on your show.
Phone me if you want the fight please.

stevegoodwin wrote:Firstly Brian Rose is below him in the World Rankings!! Yassine does not have a British passport and is not ranked in British, Commonwealth or European rankings. He is ranked 51st in the world in Box Rec which would make him number 5 in Britain if he qualified.

Second point Conception and Kevin Hammond are fighting again. Hammond has turned down the offer as he wants a rematch with Conception.

Thirdly I believe Yassine is a World class fighter. Hence the money offer.

Fourth and finally. The only reason the Small fight will not happen is if he does not want it. We do not believe he will want it!
Boxrec is a croc of shit for rankings steve, even you know that. Rose is low on there and it is totally unjustified. just because hes been inactive, hes beaten 3 or 4 of the men above him so that just proves its a load of shite.

It would be a good fight between the two of them. very even id imagine.

Yassine would love to fight Brian rose. I have been told Brian Rose's people dont want it. If they do Yassine will do it even on one of the VIP shows. I have a tape of the Small-El Maachi sparring. You are totally misinformed.

Small did not accept the El Maachi bout (including the 50k bonus) so if you were right he would take it wouldnt it. It may be a boring fight but Yassine would win.

My phone is always waiting for the call!
