Prizefighter!
Prizefighter!
All in all a very entertaining night of boxing.
I had a hunch Prince Arron was going to take it wish i'd dropped a few quid on it now.

Re: Prizefighter!
In Flournoys 1st fight Jim Watts scorecard was shown after the 1st round and Jim Watt had it 10-9 to Butler. Straight after we saw his scorecard they showed the stats showing that Butler had only connected with 4 punches. Cue the end of the fight and we saw Jim Watts scorecard again and it has Flournoy 10-9 every round.
Work that one out.

Re: Prizefighter!
he gets £110 back, prob just re-added his £20 bet by an accident.MachoMan09 wrote:That doesn't add up, mate.toomanyshots wrote:I put 20 quid on him at 9/2 got 130 quid back! ya beauty!
Re: Prizefighter!
that's what I was trying to say. Toomanyshots said he was getting £130 back and I presumed he just added his £20 stake onto the £110 by an accident. Ahh it's too late for these mathamatic equationssg1985 wrote:Are you sure? For 9/2 and 20 quid stake the win should be 90 and then 110 with the stake.Deno1986 wrote:he gets £110 back, prob just re-added his £20 bet by an accident.MachoMan09 wrote: That doesn't add up, mate.

I am really surprised Arron won it. He has shown poor punch resistance in the past and usually I'm not to confident about the chances of a fighter with a suspect chin and no power. It was only a few months ago he was fighting to a draw with Max Maxwell, but he seems to have really stepped up his game since that fight.
What does everyone think about Prince Arron's future? How far can he go?

Re: Prizefighter!
I think if he can get his right hand going more and be a bit tighter when attacked he could win the british! 6'3 is a nightmare for someone to fight a that weight!crusader wrote:I am really surprised Arron won it. Re: Prizefighter!
Entertaining night, but it does remind me how different 3 x 3 s are to championship boxing.
Re: Prizefighter!
I take your point Crusader, but the stoppage losses came when he was completely inexperienced against Duddy and Small. He still has a long way to go, but could progress over the next 18 months and get to British/Commonwealth level. He also kills himself making light-middle so he is likely to develop into a middleweightcrusader wrote:I am really surprised Arron won it. Re: Prizefighter!
Really enjoyed it. I had the final a draw with Flournoy winning the first two rounds then a 10-8.
I don't think it's much of an exaggeration to say young Arron (whose punch resistance isn't great) made Bradley Pryce look very, very ordinary. Flournoy looked clever too.
Good viewing!

Re: Prizefighter!
the lad looked absolutely fantastic last night until he took couple of rounds trying to work out flournoys southpaw skills. arran is huge at the weight and did not look 'skinny' either. he was rangy, silky and showed good footwork. his performance against pryce, considering his opponents experience, was absolutely top drawer.crusader wrote:I am really surprised Arron won it. Re: Prizefighter!
3 rounds is not enough IMHO, they should make it a 5 rounder.
