I know i've said this before but Olarte is as good a win on your record as some of these other untested and unbeaten up and comers.

I love it when i'm right, well done to Mc Conville, a very good win for a bloke in only his 8th fight.

Marlin will be disappointed, maybe he'll jump on McConvilles bandwagon?

Thanks for the tip, Hounddawg, I turned $20 into $50 with the ringside bookies and was treated to a pretty good nights' boxing, with the exception of one missmatch. I kept a keen eye on Aswin Caubay's fight, as I had read some negative roports of him here on Boxrec. I have to say he lost a close and willing fight, with him and Ben costello puting up a fine demostration of boxing.

All in all a good promotion and a good night out.

Bloody disappointed, but as you say a great win for McConville. I won't be jumping on any bandwagon but it would be interesting to see the fight.

Disappointed the Whitehead fight didn't go ahead as well :-?

Whitehead injured his shoulder, Watts caught a fractured cheekbone in sparring, hence their fights were pulled.

Congratulations to McConville and his team, they fought a good fight and came away with the win. Porky couldn't pull the trigger for whatever reason and by the seventh round it was obvious he needed the knockout to win. McConville was cut in the fifth over the left eye - I believe it was ruled from a punch, but Shane told me it was from a headclash after the fight. In the last round another headclash re-opened a sparring cut over Porky's left eye in the middle of his brow.

No excuses, Porky was super fit for this fight and in the best nick he had been since the Chimlum fight. Good turnout, great night of fights, just unfortunate that we couldn't get the win we wanted.

All the best to the boys from Chinchilla for the future.

As a footnote, the look on Team McConville's faces was priceless when they announced the result as a majority decision. They thought they were going robbed again.

In OZ, it doesn't take many unanswered punches for Ref stopping the fight.
They are uninsured.
