PF final score question?

Post by jonp »

Just looking at the scores in the Prizefighter final and see that one judge gave it 28 27 iv wracked my brains how this could be but even with the knockdown cant see where the missing point is?

Anybody got any ideas?

i noticed that too......maybe they scored it Round 1) 9-9 .... Round 2) 9-9 .....Round 3) 10-9. That adds up but can you score like that?

Hi Jon ,

Been thinking about thisto and Jamie Moore has come up with the only logical solution that we can think of.

10- 9 Brett, 10 - 9 Brett and the 10 - 7 Aron for the last round.

Mad but may be the answer ??

yeh i think yr right Steve but no way was that lat round 10.7 i thought brett was winning it till the knockdown possibly a case for a ten.9 even with the knockdown,I think that judge whoever it was realy wanted a Arron win

Was thinking the same when it was announced. Maybe a mistake by the MC or Steve your seems the most logical

10-7 can only be awarded when "the winner was virtually all over the opponent who was sent down for at least 2 counts."
I think there is an issue with avoiding draws in PF, but I leared on Friday thet the referee has the deciding vote so there isn't a problem really.
I think in this instance 10-7 must have been awarded but i'm not sure why. Sky could have been a bit clearer on this issue, hopefully BN will clear up on Friday.

.
Why at least 2 counts? You can have an opinion that the round was a 10-8 due to dominance, then another point off for one knockdown.

there wasnt enough dominance for a 10-8 to begin with though.
