Tua Vs Ahunanya Undercard

Post by N2 Shape »

The Tua Vs Ahunanya undercard has been posted on boxrec.........

Solomon Haumono VS Israel Garcia - 8x3min - Interesting matchhup, Solo has to win and win well here to prove hes a true heavyweight contender, Garcia is tough and should be well prepared given hes Tuas main sparring partner. Prediction: Garcia comes in shape, Solo struggles with the step up in class (albeit a small one) Solo WMD8

Robbie Berridge VS Areta Gilbert - 6x3min - Berridge is an up in commer in the NZ ranks and if hes looked after properly will come a quality regional level fighter, Gilbert is an unknown having gone the distance with Shane "Choppa" Chapman is his first pro fight tells me hes tough, durable and most probably has plenty of heart. Prediction: Berridge UD6 should prove to polished for the rugged Gilbert.

Jameson Bostic VS Oscar Siale - 6x3min - Another interesting fight, a BIG step up for Siale hes comming off a loss against Vaitele Soi where at times he looked like he could steal the fight the Soi fight probably showed that he has reached his true level after a series of fights against lower quality fighters. There was no shame in his loss to Soi but against Bostic hes stepping up another notch which should prove to far. However Siale is durable and another tough customer and always comes to fight. Prediction: Bostic TKO5

Clarence Tillman VS Leamy Taito - 4x3min - Cant wait for this one, both BIG men Taito is a former NZ cage fighting champ having had the 1 pro bout, Tillman was an established amateur in the US and is now 6 fights deep into his pro career so he should prove the more experienced but anything can happen when the big boys let there hands go! Prediction: Tillman UD4 ina very entertaining bout

Yeah should be an interesting and entertaining night of fights. Hopefully the KO bonuses will spur the guys to deliver some fire works.....

Can't believe it's PPV, 1 Australian fighter and we know Tua is going to punch a hole in Ahunanya.

Hopefully a pub shows interest at least.

I no David personally but seeing that undercard i wouldnt be willing to pay money to go see it..I am sure a better fight card could of been organised...Will be at the Aba next Thursday so cant wait to see what the crowd will be like.To bring people back to boxing in NZ and to get bums on seats a decent card would help...

Hopeless matchmaking for a PPV fight, I wouldn't bother...Sure Maori TV might be streaming it live on their website. Come on Boa! get your act together!!

When we get closer can you confirm whether they are streaming or not?

Thanks in advance.

Perhaps no glossy looking names, but what Boa has done is matched some very good fights. By that I mean sometimes you get some quality fights by guys who may not by mainstream names. Solo Vs Garcia is a good matchup, but I think Gilbert VS Berridge will be a good tough fight Taito VS Tillman has all the potential to be a 4 round slugfest and Bostic Vs Siale will be a goody also I know Bostic wants to impress BIG time given its a TV show as does Tillman so lets not discount it yet

I guess Boa can't do too much with the limited funds available for the undercard due to Tuas contract with Maori TV...Great for local boxers in NZ but not major entertainment value for Australia. My prediction, Tua KO within 5. Solo vs Garcia will be an interesting fight. Solo on points...

correct. the fighters are on pretty much what a club show would pay but there are KO bonuses in place. If there was around at least 100 grand to play with some major names could have been flown down with flames coming out of their ass. However have a look see on Mar 31 and then decide whether the card is shit house or good. In any event the PPV thing would have come about late in the play. The card is budget but matched on merit. No Leti's fighting Aaron Bartlett's nor Circus Freaks fighting a cyclops form Uranus. Solo is willing to test himself against Garcia who is no donkey. Credit to him and hopefully he can put on a good showing.

I thought Bostic was going back down to 175? Hope he gets back on track..the fight in a cpl weeks is nice to get him back in gear and then a decent little challenge with some tv exposure at the end of the month.
