No, it seems to have disappeared completely.

Did the Ireland talk get out of hand?

My guess is that Asterix got so embarrassed at giving be a "Moderator Warning" for using the term "fornicate me" and then realised he was a little bit premature and petulant in his actions after I replied with this

"Lol!! And then Asterix hands out a moderators warning because I said "fuuck off". A. In case you were not aware the comment was tongue in cheek. B. It generally considered poor form for a moderator to use their "powers" when its in relation to a conversation that they are involved with - its called Conflict of Interest! C. Is everyone that uses a swear word on this forum now going to get one of your "moderators warning" from now on or just when your prissy little emotions are hurt or maybe we should just put some sort of stupid smiley face after every sentence to ensure those devoid of the ability to decipher humour are not offended!

Get a grip of yourself - if you cant take a joke or handle some manly vocabulary then I think that a Boxing Forum isnt the best place for you!"

The he deleted the lot - the guy is a joke!

oh but it did - someone said "fuuck off" - maybe Shep or McNeilly needs to have a word with him to be honest because giving an infringement to a poster that has been here nearly four years and over 2,000 posts because they used the term "fuuck off" - in jest I might add if quite frankly embarrassing and reactionary

Surely deleteing individual posts would be enough.

You would think so! To be honest I am pretty annoyed about it.

Its obvious to me (if nobody else) that he was embarrassed about someone highlighting his knee jerk over modding of experienced forumistas that he wanted to hide the lot - et voila - vanished!

Maybe the delete button was hit by an accident. John Shep accidentaly deleted the whole BoxrecSim forum by an accident a few months ago.

Surely that is a bad way to go about it.

Now even more attention has been called to it (if this is the case).

I did not read the original thread, but I feel the criticism of Asterix is way OTT, he's a good bloke and does good work on here.

Plus the fact Asterix is a mod on the CS so he wouldn't have the authority to delete a thread on the Brit and Irish forum. Authority to give out warnings maybe but not get rid of threads. I genuinely like him aswell, has helped me out with a few things in the past.

I do agree with that, he has helped make the Current Scene a lot more readable.

Are people jumping to conclusions here though? I don't think Asterix has any power on the British/Irish forum, I thought it was just the Current Scene.

I am sure he is a good bloke but if the criticism of him is OTT then maybe that counter balances his OTT modding and we will find a natural equilibrium following that.

If he wants to paste the whole "offending" post on here and let others make their minds up then I would be happy with that.

I think once it's deleted it's unretrievable.
