I like Dilks and I certainly feels he has every right to be associated with title class.

He could certainly compete with Smith and Dodson but I doubt whether he could be successful against them.

I think carl dilks proved in that one fight against adamu that he is more than ready for the likes of dodson or smith.
I have watched smith for years and unfortunatley I have never once been impressed by anything he's done despite the high praise that has been heaped on him by various trainers.
To say carl isn't in his class is just pure bias nothing more nothing less.

banks was a good win smith beat Quigley who kod dodson, although that doesn't mean he's guaranteed to beat dodson smith hits harder and is better boxer than Quigley so I think smiths stops dodson with bodyshots

I've got a feeling Quigley will say dodson will win as there seems to be a lot more respect between the pair

The style of the fight isn't the point. Smith found a way to win against a tricky opponent.

I also rave about Dodson's performance against Quigley. Barring the last round, Dodson was electric

quigley can dig as hard as paul & both took each others best showing decent chins. if anything i expected paul to be on top but he wasnt he shy'd.
dodson's resistance is gone, just a size at the weight which dont count for much if the strength aint there.

If comparing the Quigley fight is what road people want to go down, no problem...

Quigley beat Dodson with a weeks notice or whatever it was he had...yet couldnt beat Paul with 14 weeks notice.

The way the fights went...was Paul supposed to try and copy Dodson and bully Quigley, yet walk onto alkinds and be up and down like a yo-yo getting stopped and cut to pieces??? YEAH MAKES SENSE! Tony Quigley is a good boxer with a good boxing brain having had a successful amateur background etc, Paul knew this all along and used a gameplan, to box him early knowing he will tire late, then come on strong. Gameplan successful - New British Champion!!! Dodson....big, ripped to shreads, looked the part (beforehand)....worked hard, was exciting, gave his all.....went home with nothin except for a few pats on the back and a loads of stitches and scars, bumps and bruises!

This is a sport, tactics play a big part. Comparing both fights...weather one was better to watch or not, from the boxers point of view - I know which one I would rather be/do! 8)

exactly. well put across. Put into those terms, it makes a lot of sense, and to be fair, it don't matter if you win ugly, just win!
