Hatton can outwork this guy - he 40 this year and whilst once good was clearly slipping against Lynes and should have lost the belt that night.

Interesting choice for tv now - who will the live fight be Small/Webb or Hatton/Branco, or will they show two live, don't normally do they.

Any ideas Nigel

Not sure about what Sky would do, although they showed 2 live fights last week didn't they ? - admittedly not both championship distance. Someone else's problem thankfully !

With Small's last fight being very boring, I think they are more likely to show the Hatton fight live and show the Small fight in full afterwards, if it is of decent quality.

It must be great having a millionaire boxing brother who can get you bouts you dont deserve and who can get you televised when more deserving and more talented fighters are going stale in the gym waiting for opportunitys and tv dates to open up.

doesn't hatton promote small now? seems a bit odd that his bro is fighting for thr euro title the same night as small, unless he's effed small off which wouldn't surprise me given his last showing

im not holding my breath for this fight, the italians are notorious for pulling out especially at europ level.
i expect branco to use various excuses pull out about three times and the fight not to happen

Was thinking that myself but although I agree there are more deserving cases than Hatton anyone actually got any views on how the fight will go.

He performed ok against an ageing Ndou who would be around the level of Branco now you would think, nearly 40 and up in weight, Hatton should in theory be faster and stronger, although Branco probably still has the better boxing skills without doubt, but whats his engine like now?

Any views on the fight guys

Hatton the early jolly @ 1/2. Bit short that, but the home advantage is massive. Lynes was robbed imo over in Italy, so to get branco out of his comfort zone is good business. It's a long time ago since branco went 12 with Gatti, and shown great heart v cotto, but with hattons lack of pop, you'd have to fancy a distance fight.

Was expecting something like that - they clearly think they can win it - But Branco has a decent jab and used to move ok years ago, Hatton may need to start throwing good combinations to send him into his shell a bit, but there might be a stone between them come first bell, so strength with Hatton but will that allow Branco to box his head off with his speed.
