My old mate Ranald Graham, former contributor to a magazine which myself and Ian McNeeley worked on, is dying of motor neurone disease. He probably has a month or two left, it's hard to say.
He is a lifelong boxing fan, and I'd like to get him some DVD's to watch during his final weeks, as he always loved to watch a good tear up.
Now I know there's plenty of collectors who come on here, and I'm happy to pay to get this organised.
What I wanted help with, is if anyone has any collections of great fights, or can point me in the right direction.
I know that this should be in the collectors/swap section, but given the shortness of time, I wanted to try and speed things up a bit.
If anyone could give me any good suggestions as to where I can get a really good collection of classic fights, or has one themselves please PM me.
Any help appreciated.

Just download them, many big fights can be gotten. Try the above site, punch in Tyson, Lewis, Mayweather, Hatton, Sugar Ray, Roberto Duran, Muhammad Ali, Eubank etc etc etc, whatever you are looking for. Use Nero to burn them to disc and most stand alone dvd players with DivX will play them just fine.

Part of the problem is I just have so little time to do this - work kills most of my time, and I really only have a few hours free each weekend. By the time I completed the compilation, he may well be dead. I did have a great collection somewhere on Video, which I could have looked for, but I lost all the videos I think.ALI wrote:http://www.torrentz.com

I'd rather just get a bespoke collection - I'd gladly pay someone if they had one.
Also, this guy is old school, he's in his 70's I need to be able to give him a normal DVD , he won't know what the eff is going on otherwise. I spose i could get him a DVD player too, but it all seems a bit complicated.

I'm more than happy to reimburse anyone who has anything to send. Just let me know what you want and I'll sort it. It's the time factor more than anything for me, not the money.
My address is
4a Probyn Road
Tulse Hill
London
SW2 3LH
Christ where do I start, Pintor, Arguello, Chavez, Duran, Leonard, Duran....this would be a long list.
It's not so much famous fights anyway, just good ones. I mean my favourite is Rigby v Ayers, which I've got and am going to give to my pal.

Can I just say thanks very much to everyone who has PM'd me, I really do appreciate the kindness, and I know Ranald will to. If anyone is sending anything, like I said, let me know what you want in return, even if it is only a favour.
I'm going to give Ranald my Wayne Rigby v Michael Ayers fight, my favourite fight of all time, and a few other of my favourites that I've got on DVD when I find where I've put them, but with the other stuff people are sending through, I think he'll have a great collection.
I hope that he manages to confound the doctors opinions and live beyond their prognosis - but if he doesn't I know that he will appreciate, as do I the kindness shown by some of the members of this forum.
It just goes to show exactly why so many of us love this place - great stuff chaps.
