I prefer 'found out' to ruined actually.
Arthur was never going to be the best in his division worldwide.....and it seems that when he realised that he couldn't be arsed anymore. moving up in weight, to me, seemed more about not being arsed to train as hard than actually thinking he could cut it at a heavier weight.
Arthur is not the first talented boxer to lose interest in the sport under SN management/promotion.
The "world" champion status must have felt hollow so no wonder things went downwards. Froch, for example, may have his knockers but he doesn't lack motivation because what he's doing is as real as it gets these days. Amir Khan, to his credit, has moved away sooner, rather than later, because SN can only go so far...they are no Golden B.P., Arum or King.
As soon as SN hit their ceiling, they simply mis-sell what they have to offer.

Whilst your right Butch, at the end of the day if you dont have the goods in the first place im not sure what else they could have done?
We'll find out whether Arthur can cut it under Hatton promotions, maybe they will have him fighting more regular now which perhaps hindered his weight in the past.

are you on another planet? with out warren athur would never have got the world title that he barely deserved. he didn't turn up against nicky cook when losing the title, and since then has gone from bad to worse.
the guy has lost interest in the sport, and the display he put on against nigel, with all due respect to nigel, was lacklustre and pathetic at best. this is a guy who was a world champ of a very competitive division, and literally just did not want to know against nigel.
Alex Arthur wasn't 'world champ' of anything. He got a WBO paper title handed to him (then lost it in what was effectively a British title fight). The guy is the worst example of a domestic level fighter shouting about his 'world class' credentials and wondering why he gets no credit for his fictitious achievements.

Both him and Nicky Cook were both European champions in there time. Also Nicky Cook was a WBC no1 ranked fighter at Feather then he took the Harrison fight which never happened. He was better than domestic class.
