James Hope initially weighed in at 140 and 3/4 for his fight with Andres Navarro. The contract was for 138 and he made that weight less than one hour later. He is currently ranked at welterweight but should be at junior welterweight.

on 6-7-87 at the providence civic center john rafuse def javier suazo not jaun suazo. javier suazo was 16-2-1 at the time of fight. the fight was on the undercard of vinny paz vs greag haugen first fight. vinny won the belt that night, it was a duva promotion. rafuse record was 14-4 at the time.
