It is over two years since his last fight.
Does he intend to make a comeback? Or has he finished for good?

Kevin Anderson: Has he retired?
Re: Kevin Anderson: Has he retired?
I was wondering the same thing yesterday.... I remember thinking of a certain 15k offer and wondered whether he'd be keen!Horse wrote:It is over two years since his last fight.

I was thinking of potential El Maachi opponents.Horse wrote:Prizefighter?JamesH wrote:I was wondering the same thing yesterday.... I remember thinking of a certain 15k offer and wondered whether he'd be keen!
I figured he may be a touch heavier than when he fought last.... thought as a bit of a puncher he may fancy El Maachi. Yassine has also said he'd fight at welterweight but not sure if thats included in the 15k offer. I don't think Anderson win it personally, but just thought he might be tempted as he said before his last fight he wasn't prepared to back to 6 round fights (and what they pay).
Re: Kevin Anderson: Has he retired?
he was listed on boxrec to be fighting a couple of months back, but nothing came of it.
i did read an article saying he was coming back and had the hunger back etc, but can't remember where i read it

I think he needed a break, he had some tough fights back to back and looked kind of burnt out in the McIntyre fights. He looked like he'd lost some of his intensity.

Re: Kevin Anderson: Has he retired?
I saw Kevin locally a couple of months ago and he looked pretty fit.
Overheard him saying to somebody that he wasn't really in training though and was just taking care of his kids.
He had a few tough fights in pretty quick succesion when he first started out and may be a bit burned out.
Would love to see him back though.
He really was explosive when he first came on the scene.

As long as he's still up for it, the sooner Anderson's back in business the better. An exciting box-puncher who can still play his part on the British/European scene.
